1.
I say he should always go with the L series lens. Is there a reason you wouldn't? The lenses only cost $50 difference new, the 70-300 IS and the 70-200 non-IS f/4 L, but I hear those 70-300 IS lenses are super nice. I'm sure there's another thread that has covered this in the past, being that the price on these two lenses is so similiar.

 2.
I've invested thousands of dollars in equipment, but I'll be one to give credit where credit is due, I've seen some impressive work done with an entry level slr, but definetely the lesser few will achieve this, and usually winds up being those who turn pro in a matter of some time. If we lower our standards and prices, it will lead everyone to think our service is cheap and artless. I say take a stand and begin to educate about the extreme difference in Uncle Bob and the artist. Publicly.

 3.
Mr. Colon, congratulations on your recent purchase. Thats a great lens, I've not owned one myself but have used one on an occasion. Beautiful images, beautiful lens! The image stabilizer is not even necessary, that lens is a tank! Rock solid. Great outdoor image capabilities, especially if you're a landscape photographer. Very versatile range, the best Canon makes, I believe, rendering the best photojournalism images you can get. Nice job on the purchase, especially if you got a good deal on it, and if not well, ...what are you gonna do! Its still great!

00VYcN-212195584.jpg.8d549fa2c8301589bc70ca3e2e359e70.jpg

 4.
Also from my research, the EP-1 has received excellent reviews for its performance in landscape photography. You being a landscape photographer know well what its like to carry a 1D with a 24-70L up a mountain or into the wilderness, not too much fun. The EP-1 will lend itself to this situation wonderfully and will feel like it weights nothing compared to the former. Plus now you have the added benefit of being able to take some video clips of your great adventures! Don't look back, you've gone through with the trade, enjoy the EP-1 in its element. Like a friend of mine always says, its a done deal "what are you gonna do"!
