1.
At Eva Photo Studio, we used to print DVD labels but were never satisfied with the way they looked. We bought an Epson Artisan 810 which prints onto the DVD and creates a beautiful DVD which we customize by using an image from the session that we are delivering. We love the results!
Additionally, we deliver in packages with our studio logo on them or custom order press printed packages that have a session image printed on it. I will try to upload a photo of what the DVD and packaging looks like or you can see an example on our blog.

 2.
Looking to add to my lens collection used primarily for shooting weddings. I shoot with a cropped sensor Canon but hope to upgrade to full frame next year. I currently own all of the lenses below:

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro DX

Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS

Canon 70-200mm f 2.8 L

I am looking to add a non-zoom lens that is faster for shooting during church ceremonies where flash is not allowed and to get better bokeh than I can get with my zooms. Price is a consideration. Currently looking at the Canon 50mm f1.2 vs the Canon 50mm f1.4. Welcome any suggestions between these two lenses or any other lens that you might recommend for low light wedding work.

 3.
After a wedding, we back up to internal hard drive AND external hard drive. After images have been processed and edited, we burn to DVDs and save to external hard drive with extension that lets us know they are edited files. Finally, we upload to Zenfolio at full resolution. Not only do they store our images on their servers, but we do our print sales by using our Zenfolio site.

 4.
We signed up for both SmugMug and Zenfolio trials to compare them both. We were more impressed with Zenfolio and how easy it was to build and customize. Our clients really like the way the shopping cart works (especially the feature that allows them to preview how their print will look in various framing options). You can use the following promotional code RP4-2ZG-NMM to get $5 off.

 5.
Thanks for all of the suggestions. I may need to add one more thing....the discs are for Clients with their digital photo files. I would prefer to deliver them so that when the Client views on their disk, they are in sequential numerical order. Also, there are times when we require more than one disc, and thus the need for a piece of software that automatically breaks up the project into multiple discs and prompts for new disc when finished with prior one.

 6.
Prior to burning images to DVD, we rename them so that all images have consecutive numbers. We currently use Roxio Creator 2010 loaded on a computer running Windows XP and one running VISTA. The problem we have run into is that even though the images appear to be properly sorted when viewed in the Roxio screen, when the DVD is created, the images are no longer in that sort order. Roxio support is unable to resolve. So we are looking for other software solutions.

My question is, can anybody recommend a software that allows the user to:

(1) sort files in Alpha or numeric order AND burns the disc in that same order

(2) Recognizes if the amount of files requires multiple discs and records one disc, prompts for new one(s) as needed?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

 7.
I have read that some wedding photographers have had their equipment damaged or stolen during some of their wedding shoots. I am looking to buy something to protect my cameras, lenses and other equipment from damage or theft. Interested in buying hard case and cable or cable alarm. Looking for suggestions on both. Thanks.
