I shoot lots of soccer for the local high school with a 7D. I use Aperture 3 to process. When the photos load they are out of order. I
simply sort the photos by file name and all is well. I think, in my case, it's a function of the software not the camera. What software
are you using?

If you're looking for L lens quality, you can't beat the 24-105 f/4L. It's my all around day to day lens on my 7D when I don't need UWA or long telephoto. Solid IQ and the IS is a plus as well.

There are different schools of thought. Yes, you can bracket until your heart's content. Christian Bloch's book on HDR though recommends spot metering the darkest area first then spot metering the brightest area. This establishes your exposure range. You bracket manually 1 or 2 stops within that range moving from darkest to brightest. I have just used a 3-4 shot 2 stop auto bracketing process in the past but am now working with his process to improve my results.

As you noted, the luminance range will determine the number of brackets, but generally speaking +2, 0, -2 will work. The key to using
Nik HDR Efex Pro and getting realistic results is to carefully use the presets and the associated sliders. You can make numerous
minor adjustments that will yield the desired result.
