1.
Dear WW: Thank you for your thoughts. It is true I want people to look at my work and either say AHHH, wow, or I understand and can relate. I want to take photos of everyday people, beautiful animals and to capture moments that really matter. I know that the range is broad but I have a love of all types of subjects. I know that there are a lot of starving artists but I am up for the challenge.

Whew!! I feel your passion still, thank you for your comments and questions. Do I have the steel reserve to move on even when it seems like nothing is happening? I feel that I do, I have always had a hunger deep down inside myself but have allowed the harsh realities of life to get in the way. Photography allows me to capture the beauty around us, to capture moments that matter, moments that at time can be life changing. I am willing to take my time, to learn from others who are more experienced. I am certainly open to criticism but good criticism for I truly can be my own worst critic. I know that I can not please everyone nor do i try too. This is a journey of rediscovery of a passion I have let linger below the surface. Again thank you for your thoughts and thank you the others as well for their input.

 3.
Bill thank you for you suggestion that is a great idea I will look into the PPA. Now Nathan: thank you for your comments as well. I know that in order to survive in the photography world besides having good business sense I must stand out. As I mentioned this is a passion, it has been suppressed for some time and while I know it will take some time I am willing to put the work in. I did go down to the local best buy and buy my DSLR but I am not typical in that I am going around shooting anything and calling myself a professional.. :) I am a work in progress and sincerely appreciate all the comments and advice given.

 4.
Dear Andrew: I have thanked the others for their response and I thank you as well, as far as the types of photos I love well I really shoot what moves me. I have a great love for nature and the human spirit in all forms. I would love to learn all the technical aspects of photography since I know that will help me greatly improve my skills but I do not find myself sitting in a studio all day taking the same ole portrait shots this would get a bit boring. I want to move around as well, take photos of people in different states, countries and so forth as well as the wildlife. So yes I understand this can be tedious, it can be a struggle but as I feel my way around and take my time I know I will find a my path, it may not be the path of least resisitance but it will be mine CHEERS..

 5.
I really appreciate the responses: I however am not planning to quit my day job, but yes I would eventually love to make some money doing what I love which is photography. I was looking into some classes at the local college on weekends plus practicing at events I have been invited to. There are a lot of people with regular point and shoot cameras or higher end models that want to break into the field or life of photography like myself some serious others not really and I get that it will be a struggle so I am taking it slow. Really appreciate all the comments and advice.

 6.
I have always had a passion for photography since I was a child but never did anything about it until now. I am entering the world of professional photography with just my canon xsi and a two lens kit. 18-55 IS and 55 to 250 IS lens. I know that my equipment is definitely not top of the line but I would like to know if others are using equipment in this range and making a good living. I have to build on my equipment has time and money permits but for now I am trying to make due. All the photos on my page have been taken with my Canon XSI. It is a work in progress and any advice is more than welcomed. Thank you Elizabeth
