I have a Nikon d90 and want to know which lens to take on a Highline shoot - the 18-105 kit lens, the 35mm 1.8 lens, or the Tokina 11-16 wide angle lens?

I'm taking the Nikon 18-105 lens, the 35mm lens, an off camera flash and want to know if I should use a polarizing filter?

I'm thinking of using the 18-105 kit lens and an off camera flash with a diffuser. I'll bring my 35mm lens as well. No tripod. I get that. What do you think? Otherwise, I have to buy a new lens. Since this is a volunteer thing, I'm not sure I want to buy another lens just for this and rush into a decision. I also have a wide angle Tokina 14-22 and a 55 to 300 Nikon but those seem really wrong.
Thanks all for your input and help.

I'll be doing a photo shoot on a Circle Line boat Thurs. The purpose is to photograph several people on the boat who will be showing the sights of NY to tourists. I have a Nikon d90 camera and want to know which is the best lens for this. The people are more important than the sights and I want natural shots probably three quarter and some close-up
Any recommendations? Don't worry if I don't have the lens you recommend. I can get or borrow it. Also, would you use a tripod?
Thanks so much!!

I've never published to flickr and am in a B & H contest and have to export 21 photos to
their existing account. I don't know how to do this. What resolution? Do I resize them?
I don't want to use the publish option on Lightroom because it's not my own account.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

I'm going to Puerto Rico and visiting the rain forest as well as other sites. I have a Nikon d90 and the kit 18-105 lens as well as a 35mm fixed lens. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a third lens that I could use. Also, are there any filters you would suggest since I only have the protective filter on my 18-105 right now.
Thanks,

I'm comparing the Epson Artisan 725 and the Canon Pixma 6120. Does anyone have an opinion? Also, I tried comparing the cost of ink cartridges for each printer and found that it's almost impossible to do this.
Thanks for all help.

I have a Canon i960 and have been very happy with it. The black ink isn't working despite my trying everything I can think of to fix this. I would like to buy another photo printer that can print 8 X 10 photos. For larger photos I'd use a lab. I'd like this printer to scan as well (no fax is needed). The one I have uses 6 ink cartridges. I'd like at least the same or more, if possible. Does anyone have a recommendation? I'd appreciate your help.

Tomorrow is my birthday (the 10th) and I want to give myself a day of photography. I live on Long Island but am willing to travel up to two hours to find the right place. I thought of the Bronx Zoo but the heat makes me hesitate. Any suggestions?

I'd like to print both color and black and white. At this time, with the printer I have, I mostly print color. I'd like to go back to b & w as I did in my darkroom days. I don't really have a budget but would prefer not to spend much more than $1,000. I don't want to get a new printer for a good few years after purchasing this one, so I'd like it to be really good and reliable. Thanks for all your input!

I have a Nikon d90 camera and an old Canon i960 photo printer. I plan to get a new printer and would like it to print 11 X 17 as well as small sizes. Any recommendations?

Do you reformat your card each time after downloading photos using a card reader?

I have a Nikon d90 and am working really hard to learn all its features. I want to take photos in raw and read that I need a raw converter. I have a year old Mac computer and import using iPhoto. I also have Adobe Photoshop CS4. Do I need to install Nikon's software - which is Nikon Transfer and View NX as well as other assorted software or is what I have sufficient? Thanks for advice.

Does anyone have an opinion about Lynda.com's website? I want to teach myself photoshop (I'm really a beginner) and need to figure out how best to do this.

I like my 18 - 105 lens but I find I can't get good bokeh with this lens.

I have a Nikon d90 and the kit lens. I have an opportunity to get a new lens from a friend visiting Hong Kong.
I don't want a huge and heavy lens but I want a good one. I've done a lot of research but am not sure what to do - a fixed lens say
35mm but I can't get a 1.4 only a 1.8 Nikon lens or a zoom that covers beyond 105mm. Any suggestions?

lightroom catalog backup

I have a Macbook Pro and the latest Lightroom CC. When I went to backup my catalog, I got a message that said,
"Catalog more than 4 GB. Use a third party utility such as 7 Zip or Stuffitexpander to extract your catalog
backup". I don't really know what to do.
Thanks,
