Turns out I was typing the wrong word. I actually did mean to say resin. Sorry.

I've been interested in buying a set of square gelatin filters and a mount for them. From what I have seen Cokin seems to be the major brand for these. Is Cokin a good choice to go with by experience or does anyone use something else that they like? If Cokin is a good way to go, which graduated neutral density filters would you recommend?

Thanks for the ziplock bag suggestion. I will give that a try next time. I do see what you mean about the lack of symmetry. The forest I was shooting in has tons of undergrowth and small trees so it maybe it nearly impossible to get a shot without the small branches. Maybe I'll try shooting in a nearby pine forest soon to see what I can do.

Thanks for the helpful tips! Now I just have to wait until the next time there is fog to experiment a bit more. As for the underexposed comment-It was my intent to make the first image, the one with the trees, underexposed because I wanted a more ominous feeling to go along with it. Ill definately bracket my exposures next time. Thanks.

I've always been interested in shooting the night sky filled with stars as a landscape shot, kinda of like this.

I've tried it many times and never had good results. I always find focusing to be the most difficult. What are your tips to help get a good shot? What ISO should I shoot with and with F-stop would be the best? Thanks in advance.
