<p>I've had my Canon 7D for about two weeks now, and used it on only its second shoot today. I had an identical problem to what Michael Willems describes: the camera was unresponsive with no buttons working. I checked the LCD, which was on, and that also did not respond to dial turns, button presses, etc. I turned the power switch to off but the LCD remained fully powered with all settings displayed. I removed the batteries, reinserted them, and the camera worked fine after that.</p>
<p>At the time I was using a 24-70mm L-series lens with the Canon battery grip attached. No flash attached or wireless flash triggering, and about 65 degrees out in nice weather.</p>
<p>My camera shipped with fw 1.1.0, so there's currently no update available.</p>
<p>I'll contact Canon shortly and see what they say, but thought I'd pop in and mention having the same problem.</p>
