stunning...too bad for that stupid black bug though
-
too bad nobody's sitting on the benches
-
top of sky is too dark for my tastes, doesn't flow well with the rest of sky. The beginning of the trail also seems a bit too dark, like there was a shadow or something there. Maybe a ND filter might work here, still, pleasing composition.
-
the blurred bottom I think distracts from the shot, otherwise, love the look of the animal and the fur, very nice.
-
A second try at an earlier shot this time with a glass plate
underneath, making the marbles not want to stay in place for the self-
timer function when I rolled the shooter.Anyway, all comments on
composition, tonality, possible burning/dodging or any of that would
be of great help; hopefully one of these days i'll produce a picture
of this subject that really looks good, but until then thanks for
checkin' it out!

Another print from this negative had a much higher gray tonal value
and was lower contrast, I seemed to like that better but I couldn't
scan it, so this is the higher contrast print. How is composition,
lighting? any suggestions for burning/dodging? Thanks.

At 02' Yukon Quest, tough time deciding about what to burn/dodge. The
eyes? tongue? more contrast? I know about that leg to the left, it's
really bothersome to the photo. Anyway, all comments would greatly
help my beginning experience to B&W, thanks.

All comments appreciated, thanks.

I know the snow is a bit gray, I wanted depth of field so I
sacrificed some overexposure on the snow for dof. Anyway, I'll be
visiting the area next weekend with lots of B&W so all comments and
suggestions would be of great help. Thanks in advance for everything.

I know the composition is a bit busy and incomplete, the cabin,
trees, sunset, pond, fence etc. But looking at it all how it the
picture? I'll be visiting the area in a week or two (Feb.2nd or 8th)
so all comments would be of great help. Thanks for everything in
advance, the people at photo.net have been extremely helpfull.

At Chena Hot Springs and horrible scanner, as you can see from the
dust and scratches. Anyway, please comment on this photo, i'll be
revisiting the area in a week or two. Thanks.

this is the negative of earlier shot, I was thinkin' of doing a
series like this (not the negative) with all the members of our cross
country running team here at LHS in Fairbanks, Alaska. What do you
think?

an interestin' sky

Very interesting to say the least, gives a whole new view on the world and you have a great subject to showcase it.

good exposure, just to me lacks anything that makes it stand out as a pet photo. One that maybe only the owner could truly love, good color and exposure though

I've seen this type of shot before, but you really captured the moment(s) well. The lighting of the ferris wheel is amazing. The only problem I have with it are the big monelisks or whatever those big tall things are called (sorry). But actually I think that might add to the photo. Everything else is dark, static, and dead, while the ferris wheel is fun, happening, and alive. Changed my mind after looking at it for a while. Great photo!

I can't really tell if this is in the sunset or sunrise, I wish I could see a little more sun. Too bad for those two posts and whatever those little spots are in the water (birds?) I think if you have the chance to shoot it again, just change your composition a little to get closer, so viewers know all the parts of the photograph.

love your idea, i really get that feeling of warmth and comfort. Only thing I really didn't like was the lines of wood, the diagnol lines take away from the picture I think. Still the socks and jeans make for a definete warmth effect, maybe you could try composing this again with a different background, maybe inside or something.
-
definetly get the feeling of loneliness, just too bad for that big ol' boat in the water, really takes away from the picture. Love those trees.

Along a frozen channel of the Tanana River near my hometown
Fairbanks, Alaska, I saw this beer bottle frozen in the ice while ice
fishing. All comments appreciated. Thanks

These are Napsters (Naval Academy Prep School) cheering for the
football team who just got an interception. All comments appreciated.

Yes, thanks teffy, your comments and work is greatly appreciated. I never even noticed the rainbow in the upper right corner; it was on my third or forth roll of film EVER so I surely didn't concentrate on much except the placement, and I don't even think I did a good job on that. But anyway, thanks for the suggestion-on all my photos-I have learned much from them.

stong and jazzy image, just missing that 'punch' to be really spectacular, may be too much clutter
