Hi,
My sister is getting married in July and I am going to help her choose a good photographer and video service.
What should I consider when choosing one? Where do I even begin?
There are so many choices. We want somebody who is very good. I did not have a good photographer for my wedding and I will regret this for many more years to come.
This wedding is in Louisville, KY area- 40 min south of Louisville. If you know anybody, please recommend.
Advise appreciated!!!!
Thanks

This is my second post here already (and one more is coming soon). I got some great tips on my fprevious post.
My dad asked me to take some pictures of my parents restaurant so he can put it on his webpage. The room had poor lighting (well for taking photos).
How can I improve these photos? Any comments are welcomed. This was taken from balcony.
I took these with my Nikon D90 + AF-S DX 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 VR with camera's flash. I forgot to bring tripod (I tried to steady the camera on a little wall) Since then I purchased SB-600 TTL external flash.
Thanks,

This was a good exercise (and we had fun with the snow today)!!! I've been reading more about photography and not applying it as much. So, this was a good way for me to learn. I found it easier to put it in manual and play with aperture and shutter speed like James and Jeremy suggested. I first played with exposure compensation (had some white photos and few OK photos). I still have to try Gray card and more to learn...

It's good to be on the forum where people are willing to share their knowledge... Thanks again!!! Amela

John, I like the blue colors with a snow. In my white balance menu, I didn't have an option for tungsten. I can adjust colors after I select direct sunlight in the color diagram (and choose the blue side of the diagram) . Is that similar to what you are talking about?
Thanks to everyone for the advice!!!

I am new into photography and taken lost of interest to learn. I've become more picky with the quality of the photos that I take.
I am planning to take some photos tomorrow of my kids playing in the snow.
Can somebody give me some tips on exposure setting and anything else that I need to know about photographing with lots of snow in the background?
I remember when I took some pictures while back with my point and shoot camera, they came out dark.
If it helps I have 50mm f/1.4 lens and 18-105mm f3.5-5.6 lenses.
Thanks a lot.
Amela
