A fun shot of a red door sporting a green afro, near the Navy Pier,
Chicago
-
I agree with Michelle. The raod in the f/g, the sidewalk, the distant trees and fence and signs are all extraneous. Get rid of them. I tried this crop - see if you like it any more.
I do like the foggy effect. Makes it look very early morning like.

After a few of the 'standard' shots of the pagoda in the Japanese Tea
Garden in Golden Gate Park, I came upon this view. I'd like to know
what you think of the colors and the framing.

I usually like most of your photos but I am not sure if there is anything special about this one
-
I think it is good that you even got this much with that slow speed film. One suggestion would be to go for a wide open aperture and throw more of the background into a blur. I like this effort.
-
At times like these, dont you suffer from drop-the-camera-o-phobia?
-
NOW, we are talking 'decisive moment' !
-
Nice! Should have either included/excluded the woman in her entirety. But this is excellent.
-
The greens are excellent. The bg colors/sky provide a good backdrop as well.
-
I have no idea what this is but this is the best in the folder
-
I usually dislike any digital manipulations but this is good and it looks like a painting I saw at the SFMoMA yesterday.

I set out early one wintry morning on Hwy 9 here in the Saratoga
Hills of N California. It seemed that someone from the skies was
pouring fog with a bucket onto the road . It was a beautiful moment.
Please rate/comment on this and other photos in the folder. Thanks!

What color! The blue, the dark whale and the glint of the sun are beautiful.
I really like this one

Please critique and leave ratings.

David, I was at this location not a week ago so I cant help commenting! It appears as though the tower is leaning to the left. That doesnt look very good. Also, the trees in the foreground shouldn't be there. I am new to photography myself and I learn stuff like this everyday at photo.net - don't have stuff in the picture that distracts from the main subject. e.g. : the tree on the left. Finally, I remember this tower having a distinct red-brown color - maybe because I was there at around sunrise. Lovely tower - isn't it?
-
I am a sucker for these bright leaves on the dark backgrounds. This is lovely and so are the other pictures in your folder. How long did you expose this one for?
-
Balaji - very nice photos.
This is not the Holocaust Memorial though. This is the Palace of the Legion of Honor. The memorial is off to the side where the road bends down to the RH of this photo. Was wondering if you took a pic of the red steel sculputure too..? Nice portfolio.

Like eisbaer says, I really really like the color!
-
Great color Sudheer. What was your DOF? My eye strains to focus on the RH side of the leaf... Nice job - I'd like this in my portfolio

Thanks all for the comments. I would have really liked a clear blue sky like I got on the
Guggenheim but I guess that is out of my control. Rene - yes, I really should crop/rotate a couple degrees and align it. It bothered me too but I was too lazy to do it. Thanks for the comments.

Any thoughts on this perspective? Please critque this and the other
photos in my portfolio. Thanks all!
-
Any opinions on this composition? Also, please take the time to
critique the other photos in my folder.
Thanks!

This is a statue outside of my city's public library. It is much
photographed and therefore, it is a bit of a challenge to find an
original shot. What do you folks think of this composition?
Also, please check out the other photos in my portfolio and crtique
them.
Thanks!

I guess there is value in looking through the viewfinder even at otherwise mundane subjects.
