All in all, very well done.  And you really have to admire any girl that will wade into freezing water and sharp rocks.  My hats off to her as well.

This is one instance I think I would have had the model looking at the water, as if she were contemplating her next step, (her next step in the water, or life itself) instead of looking at the camera.

I am not concerned about her leg as others are.  I may even have had her seated on the rock, or leaning with her back to the rock, looking camera, right.  Composition is good, with model 'left' of center, main waterfall 'right' of center.

With water falls, some people like the milky look achieved with slow shutter speeds.  I don't, and purely for my taste alone, one stop faster on speed would still work.

If access to this natural scenic area is near to you, you are very lucky!

Beautifully captured image of a gorgeous model.

I like the narrow crop of the picture, bringing even more prominence to the models face and eyes, yet long enough to show the length of her hair.  The absence of a necklace was wise.

The only item I take issue with is the rectangular catch-light in the eyes.  However, (working with whatever lighting equipment you had available), this is still a stunning image, demonstrating your skill at controlling light and shadow.

    Very, very well done!

    Violin

At first, I thought this would look much better in color.  Then I noticed the Violin has only three tuners(?), and three strings.

The leaves of autumn, with the Violin possibly in the 'Autumn' of it's days, the Sepia tone of the image works well.  Nice work of art.

Wonderful choice of dress color; works well with the background.  Exposure is spot on.

Very nicely done on your part.  And the model, well...the model could have a very nice modeling career ahead of her, if she chooses.

  1. I feel I prefer this cropped version over the full length standing pose.  The stark shadow of the full frame image detracts from the model.

I greatly admire your lighting techniques, and I find that your images are a great learning tool and inspiration for improving my skills.  My hat's off to you, and your great portfolio.

    Sunset time.....

This photo demonstrates that good photo opportunities abound, outside of the studio setting. Just the right amount of fill/reflector light, and appropriate aperture setting.

The faded blue jeans play well with gray concrete in the background, and her burnt orange top goes well with the brick of the wall. 'Really, nothing detracts from the natural beauty, and great pose of the model. The appearance of spontaneity in this shot should give us all ideas to improve our abilities.

    White......

Very nice that she is not over lit. Makes the whites of her eyes show more prominently.

The purity of the white, the earthy color of the wall, then the pose, a hint of self assured sassy! Well done.

Beautiful picture. Gorgeous model. Just a bit cooler on the back-drop light, and possibly add an overhead, snooted hair light. On blondes, the hair light is a tuff call, and especially if capturing a model in motion, (moving off the spot).

The model is posed well. The picture has an overall "peek-a-boo" effect, from head, to toe. The hair covering one eye, the dress, all so short, and the open-toed shoe's that match the back-drop, without detracting from her legs. The position of the back-drop light seems to adhere to the "rule of thirds", bringing the viewers eye upward, towards the key-light side of the model. I complement you on a very talented example of what we should all hope to achieve in our own images!
