1.
It has the t/o engraving and the slot where the lever should be. I agree with what you say; it's probably the missing lever causing the problem and when I screw in the shutter release cable it must be rotating the housing for this lock.

 2.
This is my first post here and I am hoping you may have some advice as to what I should do with this Hasselblad 500c that is really jammed. First off it has no self timer/long exposure switch on the shutter release and I suspect this may have something to do with the issue:
I have shot dozens of rolls of film handheld with no release cable and it has performed flawlessly. After having used a shutter release cable for 5 or 6 rolls of 220 the body's shutter and/or mirror began to stick after having made an exposure, after which I would just depress the shutter release cable another time and I would hear the mirror fall back into place. Today I took a photo handheld without the shutter cable attached and it jammed up. I removed the back and the shutter curtains are open and the mirror is in the up position:
Of course the lens cannot be detached at this point. The winding crank is frozen. I turned the left screw inside the camera clockwise as many people recommend and the shutter blades open but the lens will still not budge! Does anyone out there have some insight into this?
