1.
Hi there-
I'm trying to clean get to the Canon IJ Printer Utility page so that I can clean my print heads.
However, when I go to System Preferences>Print&Fax>Printers>Open Print Queue>Utlitity, my printer name does not show up and neither do the names of the 4 other printers I have installed on my machine.
I have an IMac OSX, version 10.5.8.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
2.
Hi All-
I am looking for recommendations for someone who might be interested in doing a bit of coding for my existing Flash-based website.
I want to make some minor changes that I don't have the skill set to do myself, however, the person who built the site is no longer available.
I live in SF, so Bay Area folks would be preferred, but not necessary.
Thanks for any feedback!
Cheers,
3.
Hello All-
I was recently contacted by a fairly prestigious Bay Area restaurant group about possibly doing some photography for one of their restaurants.
We have a meeting scheduled for next Monday and I'm wondering whether I should bring some work with me or not. I don't have a ton of experience in this area (i'm more of a wedding/portrait gal), although I'm convinced I can do a great job with food photography and some interior shots. They've seen the sameples I emailed them, so I'm assuming they're fine with my work if they want to set up a meeting.
I'm worried that since I don't have an extensive portfolio in this area bringing my dinky few examples would actually work to my disadvantage.
Any thoughts?
Also, I'm not sure how to quote a thing like this. I don't think I even have enough info at this point to formulate a quote, but I'm hoping they don't ask for one on the spot after we have a conversation. Is it kosher to go home, do a little reasearch and then send them something?
Thanks for any feedback.

 4.
Hi Friends-
I was just wondering if I could get some input on pricing for a shoot I was just asked to do.
A packaging-design company recently asked me to shoot all of the images for their new website. This would consist of about 500 images, mostly of different sizes of similar paper bags. Probably about 25 slightly different lighting situations, same background.
I figure that once the lighting is set up for each style of bag it will go pretty quickly.
I'm thinking the job should take about 3 days. I'm going to do it at my own studio.
I mostly do wedding and portrait work (available light, on-camera flash), have been assisting another table-top photographer for the last couple of months, but still feel a bit green in terms of pricing in this arena.
Does $1200 sound reasonable? The budget is supposedly between $500-$2000-pretty big range.
Thanks for any feedback!
5.
I was recently asked to photograph a friend's wedding.
I want to give them a good deal but I also want to make it worth my while, financially.
Is there any rule of thumb (ie: percent discounted) that folks have used when doing weddings for friends or family?
Thanks for any input.
