I, too, have recently pick-up a 500 ELX and love it! I want to use a handle and do not understand how to remove the "button." I checked the Wildi manual and understand that the shutter release "button" (mechanism) can be removed but not sure how to do this? Thanks.

Just got a 500c/m kit! Have read that lenses should be left uncocked. I have the Wildi manual and understand how to cock them before inserting into body, but do not know how to uncock them when I take them off for storage. Is this indeed a good practice and if so how do I do it? I have several RB67 lenses and the procedure is quite simple but don't want to break anything w/ these beauties. Thanks.

Apologies... yes, it is a RB67 Pro S. So you're saying that this tab is to prevent mulitple exposures? That taping would allow multiple exposures to happen if film was not advanced? thanks

Camera wouldn't work today and noticed that one of the tabs on the 120 back (next to the locating hole) was not retracting. I taped it so that it remained retracted and it fires now. If you could please advise:
1) What is the purpose of this tab?
2) As I'm sure taping it isn't the answer what's the fix?
3) If it isn't worth the cost of a repair what it he downside of leaving it taped?
Thanks
