I have a new kitten, Maya, and I let her play with a brand new box. I love the mischievous look on her face, when she finally got hold of it.
Nikon D700, 24-70mm f/2.8@ISO 3200, f/4.0, 1/100s

My photo for this week is from a photo shoot at the cinema in Brisbane, where there were still some film projectors left last weekend, but as of now there is film no more. On Sunday evening the film projectors were replaced by digital ones, so my projectionist friend asked me to do one last vintage inspired photo shoot of the whole process of winding the film into the machine and preparing for the screening early that day. How magical it all was, such a shame, that the film is going. I took my 6 year old son with me, as this was more or less a historic event, and I wanted him to see the whole process. I guess he will be one of very few of his generation, who would have come into contact with this medium in motion pictures. The projector on the photo worked for the last time that day, the other one at the cinema has been kept for screening foreign films during film festivals.

Hello Everybody,
thank you very much for the very kind comments on my photo last week.
Rene, that is a very nice portrait.
This week a portrait from my shoot with an opera singer for her upcoming website, my make up artist created the most amazing eye make up matching the feather collar the model was wearing in colour and in feathery shapes. I added the light effect in post-processing.
Have a lovely week and I look forward to seeing all your photos.

Dean Schreuder: good point, I will play with the photo in a photoshop and will separate the jacket and the hat from the background a little bit more. Thank you for kindly taking the time to critique my photo, I very much appreciate your feedback.

Hm, beginner's mistake, I haven't been on Nikon Wednesday for a very long time and I've forgotten the correct way to send the photos. One more try.
