I want to buy this camera in a few months, i know their will be a new model
soon i think, but i want the 1D mark II N ,now my question is , can i use this
camera for many many years to come, are their people who still uses older
models like the 1D or D60 and are their missing something ? i shoot onlt birds
with a 500mm f4 lens. thanks
-
I hope that the price will drop to around 2600/2900 when a new model is coming out.
-
When next year a new body will appear, will the price drop for the 1D mark II
N ?
-
Why don't they make this lens with IS function ? it would be very succesfull i
think.

I am planning to replace my 20D, with either a 30D or 1D mark II N, what are
the benefits for using a 1D over a 30D the price is higher but will i get more
keepers with a 1D than a 30D. I will be using it with a canon 500 IS f4.

i believe they should change nothing to this lens for years and years to come, but in the real world canon is a company who want's to make money, so when "everbody" has this lens they will bring out something new and the bad thing is the "old" lens will not be supported anymore, i am not born with a lot of money to buy every 10 years a new 500mm !
-
ok, i was asking this because i am planning to buy this lens, and its a lot of money, so i am afraid when there wil be another version soon, the current lens wil not be supported anymore.
-
when do you think that canon will release a new vesion of this lens or is it
still far away?
-
about the support , i've heard that it will be +/- 10 years , is this correct ?
-
has anyone already found problems on this camera , like banding or Af
problems ? and how long will canon support this camera when it will be replaced
by something new ?
-
I want to buy a 1D mark II N body next year (april) for my 500mm f4 IS lens,
now my question is , should i not wait for a replacement or should i buy the
1d mark II N now, i want to use the camera for many years to come, the price
of a 1d mark II n is just in my budget.I am worried about the fact that the 1d
mark II N will not be supported anymore in a few years by canon ?

Is this a good lens, i want to use it for general photography and journalism,
also i would use it with a digital camera that has the 1,5 x factor , so
therefore i would not use a 50mm lens , also waht is best for photo journalism

I have bought me a second hand D1 camera, can ik use a fast 512 or 1Gb cf card
in it or should i best use a 128 or 256 Mb card, is there somebody that uses
still a D1 and what card are you using ?
-
I want to knwo the production date of my nikon D1 camera ? where can i find
that.
-
i can buy a used D1X, what is the latest frmware of this camera so i can
checked it ? what battery's for the camera should i use ,not from nikon ?
-
D2H ;48000 shots taken, but they can handle 200000 clicks not ?, the camera is
in good condition , very small signs of use, and the lightmeter is replaced
because of there where problems with the D2H camera's and it will be getting
service by nikon and its has the latest software , for 1200 dollars i can buy
it.

What lens is the best in the general and for books and journal photography, i
use the D2H camera ,taking it account the 1.5 multipliyer on this camera
-
I want to use this lens on a trip for snap shooting and general use, but is it
not better that is use a 35 mm because of the 1.5 multipliyer of the D2H
camera , that makes the 50mm a 75mm ?? .

i would go with the 500mm f4 if i had the choice,
1: the 400mm is heavy and 2.8 you don't need that very often
2: the 500 mm is lighter tha the 600 and 400mm and
the f4 and f5.6 is not a problem when you going digital , with film it is perhaps a problem.
So go for the 500mm f4 IS
