<p>A very short (and hopefully to the point) response: if You need video capabilities in your SLR then wait, if not then rush to the store and buy that great D700 fast because its cheap (and still one of the best SLR's around) now. </p>

<p>There are some issues to my eyes:</p>

<p>1. There are quite a few too cropped images: guillotined heads etc<br>

2. You could have directed the people maybe a little more: for example the last page's bride & groom pictures they have too somber, even bored expressions</p>

<p>Trying to find another body to test it, lets see after that. The zoom ring does not feel stiff and there are no outside signs of damage.<br>

Needing a bit of advice: recently bought a second hand nikkor 18-70mm. It seemed to work fine but then I found out that if I'm using it approx. 40mm or wider, it does not focus from a few meters onwards, just puts the distance scale immediately to infinity and does not let me take the photo. With shorter focus lengths and above 40mm everything is fine.<br>

Anyone have this kind of experience? The body I'm using (S5Pro) is fine and all other lenses work nicely. Advice would be greatly appreciated; being a poor person makes getting it fixed to a store not possible...</p>

<p>I'm actually a fuji s5pro user (good picture quality + nikon lenses...) but have actually been quite intrigued about the new Pentax models: both the K7 (still too expensive but price will come down quickly) and the K-x seem very capable cameras with robust but tiny bodies. I know that they are even more difficult cameras to find than Olympus but I still suggest that you take a look on them...</p>
