@Rodeo
I'm in doubt for after sale assistance in Nissin brand. The importer in Italy is Rinowa but the Nissin brand is not so "big" as could is Metz. I don't mind only the brand, sure, but it could be a plus in the future, also thinking about the maintenaince of the price.

-
Just a thing,also with the Yongnuo could I have problem in the future but the low price is a plus.Canon and Metz are brands with a good after sales services.

thank for response, Marcus. I agree with you about the not so usefull of the chip. My post was only for know if the Bg-E7 was damaged or if this is a common problem on aftermarket products.
I'll testing the real life of a power cycle of each my batt. This is the very important thing.

Hi to all, I'm searching for a new flash.
I'll using this in some macro and naturalistic shoots, in some street/reportage. I'm undecided between these:
Metz 50 AF-1
Canon Speedlite 430 EXII
Yongnuo YN-565EX
Nissin Di866MKII
I tested a my friend's YN-565EX and it seems a good product, but it hasn't the HSS function, that is useful in birds photos.
About the prices:
the YN is cheaper than the other (ebay HK);
Nissin and Canon are at the same level (from Amazon.it);
Metz is half way between YN and the other (Amazon.it).
About the function the Nissin seems is the best, it also could be used as master in wireless mode. I'm really tempted but, what about the general quality/compatibility and after sales? Furthermore, I read about some users that have had problems.
Anyone could give me an advice, please?

Hi to all,
I've got an aftermarket bg and I've a "problem".
When I use 2 battery inside, the 7D shows info battery only from battery that is on the left side. Also, and this is another question, when I
put only one lp-e6 and on the right side, the body shows battery info as I use two of them instead of one. So I don't know when there are
two battery or one inside.
On another type of bg-e7 of a friend of mine, when there is only one battery inside, I see only one info in the info battery menu.
What do you think about?

Hi,
Daniel, just a question. Does the SHQ version of Kenko work fine with K20D and DA*300?
I've read somewhere that could be some problems and the body could not recognize the lens when the teleconverter is mounted. Is it possible?

-

I've also thought about mounting the machine & lens reversed on the head, leaving the levers not close to me but on the side of the lens. Is it a safe choice? Are there any risks on the stability?
Certainly it isn't an easy way to working, but in this way I don't need to dismounting the battery grip every time.

-

Hi to all,
I've a problem using the DA* 300mm mounted on a K20d with its battery grip on a manfrotto 804rc2 head. With the battery grip mounted, the lever on the head, that blocks the rapid plate, it is impacting on the battery grip.
So to use DA* 300 on the tripod I must to remove the battery grip.
What is the solution?
I would like to avoid (now) to change the head with a ball head.
Thanks to all

@Dave
The Pentax 1.7x became too expensive. I've not any problems with manual focusing but I read on a forum that sometimes, using a TC on K20D and sdm lenses can causes an error. What do you think about?

-

I'm undecided between DA* 300 and Sigma 100-300 with sigma TC 1.4x. The good thing of pentax lens is the sdm and, in bird photography from huts, this is important to avoid that birds flee away.
ps: I'm sorry for my english.

-

Anyone have experience with the DA* 300 + a teleconverter 1,4x and if yes, wich ones, on K20d?

-

@Dave
Does your tamron 1.4x work well with sdm, in autofocus mode? On wich camera do you use it? I frequently listened that SDM and TC don't work well togheter. I'm thinking to buy the DA* 300, but I prefer naturalistic photos, so a 300mm could be a short lens.
Thanks,
Alessandro.

I decide to don't sell the 150. It's so a beautiful lens to give it away.
In the future I'll try to find a 40mm or another 75mm.
And what do you think about the mc 105, instead?

-

Initially I thought that it was an electric problem, but now I'm sure that it's a mechanical problem.
When I manually load the shutter on the lens detached from the machine, I need to turn the pins until they reach the end of the way, for having completely charged shutter. But when the lens is mounted on the camera, the camera's arms doesn't move the pins until their end-way, so the shutter is not completely armed although it and diaphram are fully opened.
So when I click the shutter button, the shutter closes and remains closed, instead of having the sequence open-close-open(for the exposure time)-close(at the end of esposure time).
Therefore the film remains not exposed.
With other lenses there aren't any problems, so I think that the problem is a gap on shutter of 75mm lens.
Do you know if it's possible regulate the moviment of the pins in some way?

I've already got a 2.8/50mm MC, a EII 2.8/75mm (but this lens has some problem) and an MC 3.5/150mm.
I'm thinking to change 150 for 200. Is it a good idea?

-

I found the cause of the problem. I will explain in the afternoon (sorry I'm not so able with English!)

-

Hello, what do you think is better between 4.5/200 and 3.5/150 MC lenses?
I like doing landscapes and nature photography.
thank you.

I just found an old used acer scanwit (35mm dedicated) at about 50€. The scanner has scsi interface but the vendor sells also a pci/scsi interface.
What do you think about?

-

Where can I get a new 135 dedicated scanner (in EU)? Is the Minolta 5400 (I or II) discontinued?
Thanks again.
Good evening.

Hi J Marrs, $2000 is too expensive for me.

-

I just read this article, that doesn't speak highly of the v500 scanner:
http://www.filmscanner.info/en/EpsonPerfectionV500Photo.html

However, the v700 is more expensive :(

-

Hi, between epson 4490 and V500 wich is better? With scanned file from 6x4,5mm film, what maximum magnification that I can get in print for a good quality?
Thanks again to all and happy Christmas,
Alessandro.

So, thanks to all. I would like to use scanner for 35mm and 6x4,5mm. I'm not a pro photographer, so I would like to use the scanner to work black&white film or slides, for having digital images for printing (I don't print so frequently in big format).
The budget is not so high, so I think I will try an used Epson v500.

I'm looking for a good film scanner, possibly even for medium format. Could you help me?

Sure, it's so cheap that it could be normal if there isn't full compatibility.
