Hi Iam trying to use the gimp program for watermarking pictures I edited in Capture NX2. Now i downloaded gimp But X11 popped up and basically took over my screen. Gimp was behind it but the screen was so large and it basically doesnt let me do anything at all and just takes over my screen. Now i have Leopard 10.5.6 and I know theres a watermarking extra thing i need to download to use watermarking in gimp But does any one know what version of x11 i would need in order to use GIMP. Or is there an option I can choose with the X11 program so I can get it to work? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

I really cant believe how hard it is to find a program that can watermark pictures easy and properly! I have a MAC with Leopard 10.5.6 and iam using Capture NX2 and I know you can't watermark with that. Now I tried Looking for a free program But cant seem to find one that works well. Iam trying to learn Picmark now But it doesnt seem to be that easy to use. I tried downloading GIMP but I got this X11 screen and when it opens up it takes over my whole screen and I dont know why or what is even going on with that. Iam losing hope and getting stressed out WHY is this so hard!? I would like to have some of my pictures with the copyright on the corners and also the copyright watermarked throughout the entire picture. DOes anyone know any free or cheap programs that will work with my mac and are actually easy. PLEASE any help anyone?

Didnt know where else to post, But i was just curious if anyone had any information or could shed any kind of light on the subject of what and what isn't frowned upon in Art fairs and/or contests. Does it depend on what type of fair or contest it is? just general curious question thanks

Iam very confused about the programs. I stored photos on I photo and tried to open them in Capture NX2 but it doesnt seem to be able to read the files on its own. Now do I need Nikon transfer/View NX to remedy this situation? Do i need both or just one..And what do they really do? will they act like I photo? Is one "better" than the other? P.s. Does any1 know if I can use a watermarking program for copyright purposes on the photo iam editing in Capture NX2? Thanks 4 any feedback!

I was just curious if In Capture NX2, would I be able to zoom in on a portion of my picture ( so that the portion is now taking over as the whole picture) and crop that portion of the picture? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

If I was to purchase the Capture NX2 program, would it able to perform putting a watermark on my photo for copyright purposes? And The most common way of copying pictures I've seen is to right click on the mouse, copy and paste. But, is there a way to disable that, so the average person cant do that to my pictures? Is there maybe a program? Thank you.
P.s. Has anyone ever went through copyrighting there actually photo, if so, was it difficult?

I am an avid photographer and want to put my copyright on my pictures. Therefore I need some sort of text and/or drawing program or something that can do this. Now nothing in I photo or on my Mac seems can do this. Is this something I would need Capture NX2 to do and/or can Capture NX2 achieve this?
Also, another thing I would like to achieve doing with my photos is not only cropping them but being able to zoom in on a portion of the picture and cropping that zoomed in portion of the picture?
Any feedback or direction on this topic would be greatly appreciated THANK YOU!

P.S. I dont know even if Capture NX2 is compatible with my computer, but if it is, Iam most likely going to purchase this espically if it can do those previously discussed things but is Capture NX2 good? any other good programs out there?
