Still shooting with D700. I dont need anything else. 12 Mp is enough for me. When D800 replacement will come, then I will think about upgrade.

I'm still happy with my "old" D700. :))))

No. I have been shooting with russian Zenit film camera for more than 20 years. It was full manual camera,no super duper metering system,no exposure meter,no automatic film rewind, almost nothing, but "pure camera". Film was mostly ISO 25 and 64. Sometimes I could get ISO 250 film, but it was very hard to find. And I was very happy with this camera. I took wonderful pictures with it.
Finally 3 years ago I "upgraded" to D700. Mostly because it is FX. I am not sure you can understand what it means to "upgrade" from Zenit to D700 :). And it even takes my old russiand lens like "jupiter 37a-135mm" .
I can change iso without any need to change film and even to use iso 3200 that I have never dreamed before. :))
Honestly,I think we are talking too much about eguipment. And too little about photography, how to improve our technigue of picture taking, patience of waiting for "perfect light".
Maybe I am conservative guy,but I am not waiting for any new cameras, because they will not make me a better photographer . Eguipment that we need is already made. Now we need to learn how to use it properly.

D700 has no button "perfect picture". I think you should wait for replacement.

I dont think so. My opinion is that free MB-D10 means nothing about update of D700. Here in Lithuania ,we had chance to get free grip with D700 in 2009 for 2 weeks.

D600 - First Impressions, maybe a few different thoughts.

Going from 12MP to 24MP is only a 1.4x increase in resolution. So thats not a surprise, that it was not a big difference. A lot of people in their minds think it's a linear progression in resolution, the belief that all marketing departments depend on.
This is a list of common megapixel resolutions and twice their
resolution:

(1x > 2x)

2MP > 8MP
4MP > 16MP
5MP > 20MP
6MP > 24MP
8MP > 32MP
10MP > 40MP
12MP > 48MP
