1. Thanks for that info & links. Unfortunately the only 50mm lens in that manual has a different lens construction than what i have. My lens the "ULD" has an adjustable floating element. I am very confused as i have tried assembling the lens almost every possible way that makes any sense but when i put it on the camera & view through it the image is full of halos & soft focus areas is the best way to describe it. Is it possible that when i was cleaning the elements i rubbed off some special coating or something? :(
  2. Hi, i pulled apart the rear group of elements on my 50mm ULD to clean severe fungus growth. Stupidly i cant remember the order the elements go back together & its not very self explanatory as in the group can go back together many different ways. I need a diagram showing what order & orientation each element goes back together but nowhere on the net is there a diagram of any kind.

    Any advice appreciated!

    Thanks.

  3.
I have been looking into the Mamiya RZ67 Lens System & have found that the Focal Flange Distance is 105mm. Although the RZ67 lenses do not have internal focusing, but instead Bellows Focusing which physically moves the entire lens further or closer to the film plane... So my question, is the Focal Flange Distance 105mm when the lenses are focused at infinity (the lens being closest to the film plane that the bellows allows) ???

Thanks in advance...

  4.
Thanks all for the helpful input.
I have a Tokina AF 17mm f/3.5mm AT-X
But because of the stretching\distortion around the edges of close up objects
i have never even bothered trying to do a pano with it.
Atm i am looking into getting the Canon 24mm f/2.8

  5.
Hi all. I have noticed that the "distance scales" on most lenses i see only go up to 10m & then straight to infinity, lets say i have a 150mm lens (for 4x5) & i want everything from 7.1m to Infinity to be in focus, then 14.2m would be the Hyperfocal Distance to focus at @ f16 (According to my DOF calculator), but the Distance Scale on my 150mm lens only goes up to 10m & then Infinity. I could just stop down to f22 & then 10m would be the Hyperfocal Distance, but i am wandering if there is a way to know the distance the lens is focused at after 10 metres.
Any advice appreciated. cheers - Rupa
