Have increased the shadows and decreased the highlights in Lightroom, slightly decreased the Saturation. Had Put sum yellow in the highlights, magenta in the midtones and cyan in the shadows in photoshop.

 

As I upgraded my Xrite camera calibration software the (color cheker dng profiler), version 2.0 , I noticed that it now supports ICC profiling also of the tiff files. Any thoughts ?

Alternative photography like gum printing or cyano type etc users use inkjet transparencies to make photosensitive prints. Good transparency is very close to the negatives and bigger size are available. But of course they are black and white or tri-color.

However the idea of making photosensitive digital print from projector is intutive and very interesting if it work.

Try the software that came along with the camera probably Nikon's Capture NX-D.

I'm feeling the pressure, David. I suppose that because of my familiarity with film, I've been equating full-frame with medium format, and maybe this isn't an apt comparison. It seems to be coming down to a simple choice between FX (probably the D800/800E or 810) or DX (the D7200, which seems to be getting unanimous praise).

 

All current Nikon cameras are good. Please don't minus D750 or D610 from FX choices merely because of one or two aspects only. D750 is probably the most popular among the FX line. My suggestion of D7200 was only of the budget you mentioned and the crop factor of your previous camera. I only mentioned "my experience" of low light between D750 and D7200, but this does not means I depend solely on D7200. One factor only.

I had used Medium Format in film for almost ten years, and scanning these negatives are a different kind of output. They are different horses .

 

However for Enlargements while printing sizes larger than 16x20 inches the D810 shows a very clear difference than the others and specially the DX models. Here printing large sizes is again a factor only. There are pluses and minuses depending on the use of the cameras mentioned above.

D7200

Andrew I was suggesting low light performance on my experience in same lighting condition, I am not comparing the two numerically. But on my visual experience.

I'd rather not go over £1,000, Wouter. I'm an enthusiastic and relatively experienced amateur more used to film to this point. I would say that ease of use, ie logical/smart design, is more important to me than having the absolute tops in terms of resolution, speed, number of FPS, etc.

 

I would suggest D7200. Its a good camera in the budget you mentioned. I had used it along with D750 as a second camera usually for close ups and when doing post processing personally I found its low light performance better than D750. It also has no optical low pass filter and speed goes up to 1/8000 of second as oppose to the D 610 and D750 (which indeed are full frame) and have 1/4000 sec limit. image quality is quite good, I also have used D7100 and found the image quality of D7200 way better than D7100.

I must elobrate the inconsistancies of younguo tranciever for the sake of argument. This is how I use younguo transceiver with my d810. One sb 700 ( on the master mode ) and on the camera with the tranciever. The other or others sb 700 (never in remote mode but simply in on position) on the stand with other tranciever. Both flash guns on ttl. If flash is switched on before the tranciever an error come on LCD of flash but they fire in ttl. If they are switched on after the camera and the tranciever then, they act normal showing normal LCD with Master and slave. Then LCD behaves normal. Sb 5000 don't fire in Master mode on camera but fire on slave and don't in ttl. Sb 5000 on tranciever never showed two flashes of the ttl but sb 700 does.

Yes I had heard better consistency about Godox from friends but I doesn't own the system yet so can't comment.

Andrew upgrading to d850 along with the wr-r10 and wr-a10 is the only solution to use the radio capability of sb 5000. Optical CLS is a hazard during fast wedding shoots, specially in tight time. Half of one's concentration is lost making sure of the optical sensor on the flash toward the camera. I use yongnuo transceivers but they have consistency issues. At the end the goal is a good work flow so if you upgrade to D850 then take the full advantage of sb 5000.

I always prefer a simple system.Usually a, one bag solution.This is why I don't own a TTL strobe yet. Flash system is a tool . And it all depends, but the real thing is your own creativity how you apply it. One can have very expensive systems but all that matter is the image and the ease of work later.

Thanks rodeo_joe for link, if the tt685 can trigger ad360, I pressume it should definitely control ad600 as a master radio.

While the newer v 860 ii has the Master Radio Capability.

However in this picture the speed lights are TT685 not the newer v 860 ii

My question is that if I mount Godox v 860 ii speed light on my nikon d810 and use one Godox strobe wistro ad600 on stand with an umbrella . Can the master radio of the v860 ii trigger the wistro in ittl mode. This I am talking without a transceiver. I am posting this image from Godox website.

Any help in this would be greatly appreciated as I didn't find any satisfactory results from the internet.

At this setting in sb 5000 as an on camera flash and two of my sb 700 as off camera flash I thought I was using the CLS optically.

Shun if I mount my SB 5000 on my D810 and mount my two SB 700 on flash stand for (as off camera flash) can I trigger all the three?

Shun can the sb 5000 not be used as a master optically to trigger other nikon flash guns like sb 700 as remote ?
