I still feel details are important. When I visit an art museum (I am an avid painter as well as photographer, and designer) I feel I learn more about a piece when I realize what type of canvas and paint were used. For example a painting may state 18x24", watercolor on Arches 140lb archival. This is crucial information, especially for those who appreciate the craft. Photography is very similar for me. I miss the days when you could ask about what film was used, paper printed on... I realize we are in digital today, but details like shutter speed and aperture should be a given.

Love it. One of the best POW's I've seen here in a while.

Great. Another fine pic with no details. I'm always more interested in photographs that show details (easy to achieve nowadays with digital files.) Any other photographers feel the same way?

Beautiful picture. Not to sound nitpicky, but does it hurt to take the time to fill in the details of how this photograph was taken. Camera used? Film? ASA? Shutter speed? Location? C'mon guys. I see so many really great photos on here and no info sort of makes me lose interest and so I move on.

Perhaps I am an old fashioned photographer, but the presence of both tattoos on their feet sort of take my eye away from what really matters in this picture. It's sad that people are inking up their beautiful, natural skin... Nice lighting though.

Beautiful image and composition, but I feel like maybe a different breed of cat would have complimented the model better. This beautiful woman looks like she's next to a creepy gremlin.

How boooring. Any soccer mom could have captured this.

Another lousy photo of the week. You can see something like this at any typical south Florida beach. More shocking would have been to photograph a 300 pound woman in a bikini

The photographer has a number of black and white images that are a lot more interesting than this. Who chose this pic? It has to be one of the worst for photo of the week. He is a good photographer, but this image is weak.

Beautiful. I love how you handle color and can see the Andrew Wyeth influence.
@Philip-- Why not Photo.net? I've seen a lot more professional work showcased here than on flickr, smugmug, or various other photo sites (where you have to weed through hundreds of amateur and beginners before you see the good work.)
