<p>I would read about raw before you start shooting. its not only shooting but the file processing that may be difficult especially if your monitor is not calibrated and you dont have any background if processing.<br>

<p>I would recommend 2x factor although some modern lenses offer image stablilzer.<br>
if you lens focal is 50mm I would shoot at 100 (125/s) if the lens is 80mm choose 160mm.<br>

<p>the 24-105 is a great lens, I love to use it although its 1stop slower, I think its worth to consider.<br>

<p>I am a canon user 1d 3 and had a lot of problems with focusing. My friend who used to use canon had identical problems - he switched to nikon. A lot of folks complain about certain camera models focusing system. Make a researach before you switch.<br>
