1. I'm coming from England and will be visiting Yosemite national park in California on Monday.

I will have a car and will be there during be day on monday, will be staying out in the evening to get some sunset photos, overnight to try

to get some Milky Way photography and early morning on Tuesday for sunrise shots before I leave to goto Lake Tahoe.

Was wondering if you guys could recommend some decent spots so I can get some great/interesting foreground during these different

lightning conditions. I've heard of lots of different spots within Yosemite but its confusing which ones I should visit since I only have a

limited window to achieve these shots in the time period I am going to be there.

    Your help is much appreciated!

  2.
Hey guys,

I'm a landscape enthusiast. Currently shooting with a Nikon D600 and 17-35mm f/2.8. Always trying to improve myself and watch lots of tutorials online etc.

Was thinking about getting a NatGeo subscription because it's dirt cheap and features some of the best landscape photography in the world, but then thought, well it's not actually going to help very much in teaching me about landscape photography, so thought maybe there are magazines geared up to do just that?

Do you guys know of any good magazines/editorials (online or in print) that do focus on this - basics/technical aspects and post processing etc that you would recommend?

  3.
Ok, thank you for your input so far. I have read Garry's tutorial on lighting and will now have a look at the link you posted, Charles.
In the meantime, would either of you care to recommend the type of lighting kit I should be going for, bearing in mind that I am on a very tight budget and that I DON'T want to have to shoot at high ISOs to get well exposed pictures? The highest I would want to shoot at is 400, although preferably not higher than 200.

  4.
Myself and a friend have been asked to do the studio photography for a Ball Event (Tux and Dresses).
This will be our first time doing anything of the sort. It will just be pretty simple photographs. Couples or groups of up to 10 will be standing in front of our dark grey backdrop and we will take pictures of them. Nothing fancy, all they want is a picture to commemorate the occasion that makes them look good.
I've been looking at different lighting kits within our budget and have narrowed it down to five choices, but do not know which one to pick. Can any of you guys help me?
Here are the choices:
http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-interfit-int182-ex150-mark-ii-two-head-kit/p1025920
http://www.backdropsource.co.uk/Productinfo.asp?id=698&pname=320-watt-flash-light-kit-with-umbrella-and-softbox
http://www.backdropsource.co.uk/Productinfo.asp?id=700&pname=320-watt-flash-light-kit-with-two-softboxes
http://www.backdropsource.co.uk/Productinfo.asp?id=699&pname=320-watt-flash-light-kit-with-two-umbrellas
http://www.backdropsource.co.uk/Productinfo.asp?id=703&pname=320-watt-flash-light-twin-umbrella-and-barn-door-kit
Any help on the matter is much appreciated. Also, if you think none of the above are suitable and could suggest alternative kits for similar prices, that would be very helpful too!
Thank you.
