Great use of the trees... solid vertical lines and repetition. I think the road works as a good base to the photograph as well as a nice contrast to all the vertical movement.
The color is perfect. I think most would have tried to add "punch" with a wallop of contrast in post. The photograph is almost black and white... filled with the even mid-tone grays of winter. It's honest, solemn, and cold.
Well done.

St. Anne's Attic and Belfry.
I knew there was a photograph here... but for some reason I never
felt like I found the right position. Something is missing. Any ideas
would be great.

Excellent use of the frame.
Strong vertical lines beside horizontal and diagonal. My eyes never left the photograph, which often happens when using strong lines and contrast. Great lighting... contrast is great... and you still retained some mid-grays.
Warm regards,

I was scrolling through your still life critique photographs, and for some reason I stopped on this one. I find that my taste always leans toward black and white photography. I was shocked at how a simple change, like your backdrop, can change the whole mood of the photograph.
Great lighting.

I love this image. It reminds me of the 1980 darkroom prints of Scott Mutter. This photograph is unique and confounding, which made me look at it for quite some time.
Jon well done.
