If ever you wondered how it would feel to live in a life of discord and

harmony, frustration and beauty, hopelessness and anticipation,

uncertainty and clarity all at the same time, take a step further my

friend beyond the gateway of the tempest.

Nature takes on a eeriely enchanting mood when bathed with the

mysterious beams of the moon.

Choosing to lead the life of a pioneer can be incredibly lonely and

frustrating, but you get to revel in the dramatic barren beauty often

overlooked by others around you.

Nature's oldest and most spellbinding scribes scribble their poems in

somber skies.

Goings on in the deeper waters caused slight disturbances in the harbor

after all boats returned to the rendezvous point. This photo documents

the mood just before one young man set out to determine the root

cause.

Stare into the black hole, close your eyes, wait a few seconds, open

them back up again. The hole dilates with the dilation of your eyes.

Trippy dude, and without the use of drugs.

Even the body that has been abandoned and left to be ridiculed by the

elements has a beautiful story to tell, one of strength and perseverance.

Uncertain of what lies ahead, would you trust you intuition in moving

forward knowing that everything will be alright in the end or would you

hesitate and let fear paralyze your chance of ever knowing what is on

the other side?

Tucking slowly behind the butte, the Lenticular cloud gave one last

display of wisdom. As the sky grew dimmer, it's majesty grew more

and more arcane.

Interesting sounds came from behind the wall of stone. Seconds

afterwards, out burst a jet of vapor.

Fear crept into mind at the thought of nearing the ominous throne.

Having just enough courage to push on, the approach translated that

fear into an almost surreal sense of serenity.

When man tries to compete with Mother Nature, she seems to always

stand taller and appear clearer.

This Navajo woman and dog were traversing a path slowly, but the

communication, the bond between both of them was very strong.

There is something magical about the seconds in time just before

Mother Nature unleashes her frustration on the man made world. There

is this perfect balance of tension and peace, anticipation and

understanding. Then comes the rain, washing all that away.

Hey, there is something magical about this picture and your use of DOF, almost adds a layer of mystery and tells a story that parallels and enhances the story told this mans posture, facial lines, eyes, etc.  Love it!
