love my 105 f/2 DC. Those two were made during paintball game with D200 iso200 f/2.8 if I'm not mistaken.

Agreed with Robert. I'm using DC version on FX and DX mostly for portraits since I don't think it's fast enough for low light photography
I think you should also consider 85mm 1.4 cause it's faster and a little bit smaller than 105mm DC.

Don't listen to Ken Rockwell. Sigma 30 1.4 is a very good lens. The only real problem with sigma - is build quality. Sigma is well known to differentiate build quality from sample to sample, so it's highly advisable to choose best sample among several lens samples right in the store.
Nikkor 35 f/2 is also nice, but to my taste it's not fast enough for lowlight photography

don't forget to consider recently announced Sony Alfa A850 :) It's also full frame
one friend of mine made this calculation recently:
SONY/Minolta

Personally I would skip Zeiss 35mm f/2 (i really did) for huge amounts of purple fringing wide open... this really kills picture. It's NOT sharp wide open, altought after f/4 sharpness is nice. Bokeh is rather rude, but on 35mm who really cares? What is really outstanding about this lens is build quality. But for the price of Zeiss I found old Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 to be a better competitor.
I think the only lens that fits the 'legendary' tag in this range is newly Nikkor 12-24 f/2.8

and real legend is 'The cream machine' Nikkor 85mm f/1.4 :)

Which lense do I get first?
