<p>Sorry for slow replies... I've had a lot on my plate the last few days.</p>

<p>Thanks to everyone for taking the time to add their opinion and options for me. I really appriciate it! It made it much less overwhelming for me. Especially those of you that explained things, too. Given what everyone had said, I have a nice set of choices to make - but now I at least have a range and know what's more beneficial to get at this point.</p>

<p>I love photography and have been saving for quite a while to buy my first good, professional digital camera. I really want some sort of Nikon SLR but even after looking at some things myself, I am completely at a loss as to what would be best for me. So I have come to ask the opinion of those who are much more educated than I.<br /> <br /> The things I am most interested in shooting are wildlife, outdoor (including like landscapes and people) and macro. I am basically an extreme novice so if you could, please explain things -- as in, why is the camera/lenses you're suggesting would work for what I am interested in.<br /> <br /> $2,000 is my limit. <br /> <br /> Any advice is greatly welcomed. <br /> <br /> And thanks. =)</p>
