1.
Great post, I'm interested in buying the nikon 10-24 but still questioning certain things about it. Any pictures/stats are much appreciated. I'm also curious as to the filter options for these wide angle lens. I read recently that some filters will effect the scaling due to the wide values. Is this true? etc... Hoya Digital Pro1 or HD the only options?

 2.
I'm going to the grandcanyon coming up and I wanted to know which locations are the best for these times of day. I'm also interested in knowing which filters work best with this landscape & light. My camera set up I will be taking are a Nikon D300, nikon 18-200 lens, sigma 150-500. I'm probably going to buy a 12-24 wideangle soon. Any technical information would also be welcome given the terrain.

thanks.

 3.
I'm thinking about buying this lens but i'm still debating between the Sigma 120-400, Sigma 150-500 or the slow focusing nikon 80-400 with the better glass. Any reviews or opinions on these lens would be greatly appreciated. My camera setup is a D300 and I usually shoot handheld out in the field. Is the nikon worth the extra money? Do the Sigmas lose sharpness and quality? For Sports & Wildlife Photgraphy - Which one would be most realiable in the field without finding the perfect focusing spot on every shot? Etc.. Thanks.....

 4.
Thanks again for the information on my message post...If you have any other suggestions as to specific places to visit I would greatly appreciate it. In terms of the best places in the grand canyon - where would you recommend going specifically and at what time? Etc.. We are also considering driving more north -from the S. Rim. I know about the other Canyon Rims, or more north toward powell lake, marbel canyon and the wave - Are they worth the extra trips?
What shutter speed, exposure, etc are best set-up for the canyon shots? Due to the heat - Should I stick with polorizer filters?
In terms of gear - I'm still considering the Tokina 12-24 F/4 or 11-17 F2.8, Tamron 10-24 or the still pricey nikon10-24. I have 2 weeks until my trip, but i'm really lost as to which one will give me the best shots.

 5.
I need personal suggestions on what wide-angle lens would be best for the Grand Canyon. As of now, I have a Nikon D 300 camera outfit with a Nikon 18-200 Lens. I'm considering buying a new lens and I could use some professional information on which lens would be perfect for my trip. As of now, I'm open to Nikon, Tokina and Tamron. Thanks for your opinions. Feel free to list places or experiences if you have been to the Grand Canyon before for Photography.
