    Is there still some fortification Around the city?, or is this a portion of the memorial.

    The white balance is way out, hard to make out any detail of the wall also the blurring is distracting to the eye.

    Excellent photo, the Brandenburg Tor is one magnificent structure to see with out a wall in front of it. This photo brought back many days of the cold war while I was stationed in West Berlin.
