I just saw a press release on a dealer's contertop about a 55mm Distagon for the 645. It was also pictured in one of the links when the Contax Digital was officially announced recently.

Heliopan also makes metal (short & long depths) & rubber lens shades
in many sizes to at least 104mm. Ken Hansen Photo in NYC probably has
the most in-stock than any other dealer, and they're honorable people.
Heliopan metal lens shades are threaded all the way through, which
allows me to place a soft focus filter further away from the front
lens element for a more pronounced ef

A couple of friends attended a digital seminar in NYC where Contax
participated. They heard mentioned that Contax themselves would be
offering a digital back for the 645 shortly. Does anyone have any
solid information about this (what size and type is the sensor, what
would be the file size, what bit depth?)

Ed, thanks for your response.
As an assistant I've used all the medium format brands extensively,
but I now find the Rollei system the most intriguing, especially if it
allows the following:
1) use the 90mm & 150mm apo makro lenses for 6x6 beauty, macro &
portrait photos of course : ) , 2) mount the 90mm & 150mm apo makro
lenses to the Rollei lens adapter system 6000 [controlled by the
LensControl S] for 4x5 use, and 3) mount my APO view camera lenses
onto the Rollei Electronic Shutter size 0 & size 1 [controlled by the
LensControl S] for 8x10 use
Having used Sinar's auto-aperture [mechanical] and digital shutters
for the past twenty years I find Rollei's offerings very tempting if
their claims of repeatable 1/12 f-stop accuracy are true.

Does anyone know how large the image circles are for these lenses
when focused at infinity and at 1:1, and at what f-stop?

Steve,
Aside from the electro-mechanical problem that you are experiencing, would you be so kind to elaborate on the optical performance of the 110mm F2? Please compare it to the other lenses that you own or have owned. I am considering this lens for portraits. Thank you, Billy.

The place in NYC to view the Silvestri is large format guru Louis Shu's Photo Gizmo.

Ed, Thomas...
Will the 90 and 150 Schneider cover 4x5 if used with the Rollei
digital shutter?
How is their resolution compared to the Rodenstock HR digital lenses?
