I like the color and lighting of the is photo. I even like to lines and the contrast of the dark sky and light of the boats. What is lacking for me is a strong subject. To much negative space in the lower left hand corner. Great snapshot

I disagree. One of the things that I find captivating in this image is the look on her face and her eyes. The color of the coat compliment her hair is not a distraction for me. I find that I am drawn to her face right off the notice her hat then her hair and coat in that order.

I have lookled at this image for a bit and have a hard time with the coposition. I love the golors and the shading of this image just that the light house keeps pulling my eye away from the rest of the image. Not sure if the subject does not lend itself to art or is just to crouded for a good compostion. Hope this helps.

this works for me on so many levels. It is in focus, the color is beautiful and it shows a sense of energy and coming action. Keep up the good work.

Thom,
I am struck by the beauty, structure and texture of this photo. Rarly do I see a photo that both disturbs and also delights me at the same time. Thanks for such a great phot.

Norm,
I agree with Mario. I find the forground distrackting and off ballance. Not sure I would crop as much as Mario did but cut a little off the bottom and clone more to the top would make a better crop for me. On the other hand I like the tone and the pose of the model verry much.

John,
Ilove colorful photos and when the light is done right I am a big fan as you have done here. What I am having trouble with is the left third of the image, there seams to be a line that is dividing the image up. it is very distracting. Consider a crop to remove the edge of the carpet and the line.

That is what my daughter said as I took this shot on their 12 birthday.

This kid was hiding behind a chair at the local coffee shop. I thought it was so cute
so i got permission from his mom to take his photo and he and he played hide and
seek for 10 min with my camera.

This is one of my most talked about photos. One night my wife and i were sitting by
the fire and as I stoked up the fire I wrote I love you on the wood. After a chuckle I
snapped a shot of it. I have printed this and hung it in our house and now it get so
many comments. I would be interested in your reaction to this image. Thanks.

Jerry,
Thank you so much for your insightful critique of this photo. While I enjoy seeing the "I like this photo" comments, I am focused on being the best photographer I can be and your comments point out things I did not see myself and help me grow in my craft.
Keep the constructive criticism coming.

Sorry to say that this image does very little for me. I get the concept of girls having fun by the water. The challenge I find is that the lighting is off and the girls are dark. If the water was a little darker maybe it would work better.
The presence of the trash can cuts up the bottom part of the scene so much that it is hard for my eye to follow the action of the girls dancing. Also the boat in the upper left corner is about to smash into the girls head thus difficult to look at her.
The story I get form this image is a fun day at the beach about to go tragically wrong.

I love the subject and the tone is beautiful. I would have cropped the yellow out of the corner. I find it distracting and draws my eye from the subject. Otherwise a great composition.

I like the color and the posing. I am having an issue with the lighting tho. Seams that the lamp should be creating more light. Might just be me.

I am looking for feedback to see how I can better my skills. What are
your thoughts on this photo?
Thanks Brian

I love this shot. Something about the soft light and the simple color pallet really work for me. Also perfectly exposed. Good job.

This was one of those shots I never thought would work out till I got
back to my studio and started processing. after some debate with my
self I have come to like this image. I would be interested in honest
feed back from the community. Please support your statements either way.
Thanks. Brian.

After a couple of hours of disappointing results light wise with this
model all of a sudden we hit is and got what I think is a great shot.
I would like feed back from the community on what you think. Agree or
disagree is fine I would just ask that you support your decision.
