I mostly shoot on M, only when I lend my camera to my kids I turn it to P and maybe I shoot one or two photos before I change it back to M. I do not like to let the camera think for me.

In my case I always buy my photo stuff online because in my country going to the local stores is extremly expensive. Currently have buyed my body and a couple of lenses from amazon and adorama, and did not have any trouble or inconvinient and I also saved a huge amount of money. So I would say buy online.

I am interested in purchasing a new lens for my collection, this is the Canon 70-200 f/2.8, I've seen there are two models of this particular lens, one with Image Stabilizer an one without. I can afford the price of the IS version of this lens. Normally I shoot my pictures hand held only, so basically my question is it worth it to buy the IS version or should I stay with the non IS version.
Regards

I have been for a while taking photos with the RAW+JPG option of my Canon Rebel XS camera. I would like an advise on which is the best free RAW Editing Software I can find.

Regards

Andres

Currently my small backpack carries my Rebel XS, the 18-55 f3.5/5.6 IS and my 75-300 f4-56 III, always I carry my tripod and my 580 EXII external flash with the ST-E2 Transmiter, a couple of filters and that is about it. However I am going to buy the 18-200 and a 60 macro lens to take instead of the other two lenses.

I agree that if you con afford it buy the IS version of the lens. I bought the 75-300 without the IS feature and I have missed a lot of nice shots because there was not enough light and the shutter speed wasn't fast enough to freeze the movement made by me. After that I said to my self do not ever buy again a tele lens without IS
