cropped it loses a lot, uncropped... what do you reckon?

The colours are stunning. And yes, the composition very inspiring. Thank you!

A great shot, what fun! Very evocative and thought provoking. Nice colours. I was doubtful about what having the US flag there adds.. and decided it adds a touch of poignancy - a hint of sadness. One could go further and say that the stability of the stacked containers is threatened by that slight lean, which the flagpole accentuates.
And then again, it is those containers (presuming they're on their way out) which will restore the flag to its full stature. In this respect the pole is pointing the way - across the Pacific - saying "Go get 'em, containers. Make me proud again'.

Was that a little bit of camera shake making the lines squiggly? Looks like fun! What setting did you use?

Makes me think of John Lennon(?)
Must have been a great setting for the car show...

I like the perspective - the more you look at it, the more there is to see, and appreciate.

Its a beautiful badge.
Somehow the upsidedownness of the reflection makes me feel a little nervous. I'm going to your gallery now.

Love the colours and texture. There's some doubt about whether he's looking at us or actually scoping the surroundings... Nice Photo!

this image is a funny one, we know that he'll probably make the dive, but the possibility of a naked hippy doing a massive belly buster is in there.. his head and the nearby jagged rocks combined with his posture makes this a LOLworthy tension-filled adventure shot.

I find this to be a pleasing image. Why?
The colours in the foreground make the subject stand out in a low-key but solid sort of way, and especially from a distance (the thumb in the critique forum) the image prompted my mind, in a natural progression, into imagining the boats in the berths. Nice one!

This is a predawn scene, with very low light.
Could it be made usable?
Thanks, Scott

Leaning over the fence as far as I could go to catch what, if cranky, could
do me or my equipment a serious amount of damage, was an exhilarating
experience. Oh, and if you're in or near Australia's Gold Coast, take a trip
to Tropical Fruit World. It's old-time family-owned and the atmosphere is
really good there.

Wow, after a lot of gazing, I'm right there with that duck. What an image!

At first glance the feminine lines are quite interesting and evocative,
There's a nice balance of sorts. That the male is underemphasised is nothing unusual - it may be a statement in itself - I guess it's what your metephysical approach is to conjugality, but I like it as it is, for what it is.
Composition should reflect the purpose of the image right? With no stated context, my uneducated approach would be to see the good in what's there in an image.
This image is attention-catching and evocative. Thanks Massimilliano. -
The evocativeness of this picture strikes me - the colours and perspective give a sheltered feeling, only the cracks at the far right hint that these are ruins... the overall impression is of peace and order..

As an ex-boatie, this pic was somewhat disquieting, i never used to get seasick while afloat but felt seasick trying to figure out what was what in this shot. Haha, thats a high impact photo.
