You have captured such a sweet moment here with the little girl playing around with the plastic bucket. The tilt of the head, the eye contact, the sweet smile all help to make this a very nice photograph. The child also looks completely at ease as well. You have captured both the playfulness and innocence of childhood in this single image. Congratulations on a job well done!

I thought this photo was the most artistic of your photos currently here on Photo.net. Just looking at the thumbnail made me want to open it to find out more about it. The play of light on the darker background is quite interesting. This photo gives off an unusual mood which I like. Without the title, I would have had no idea that this was of a casino at all.
  1. This is quite nice. Soft and gentle lighting. Lots of fine texture as well. For me, it really stood out from the rest of the photos in your portfolio. There was just something captivating about it when looking at the thumbnails. I just had to open it.
  2. Thank you for the thoughts on my photograph. I'll be sure to leave comments on your photos as well. I didn't intentionally tone the photograph, but instead relied on Power Retouche's Black & White Studio, an Adobe Photoshop plug-in, which did the work for me. Being a sports photograph, I was primarily interested in capturing the peak action close up and getting some emotion despite the face mask being in the way. I was quite happy that I was able to get a good image with the attacker's eyes clearly shown through the bars of the face mask. The action was quite hard to catch not only because of the speed at which they attacked, but also because they tried to avoid "telegraphing" their techniques. In other words, they tried to hide what techniques they were going to use in order to cleanly strike their opponent when their opponent's guard was momentarily down. That also made this kind of image much more difficult to capture. Thanks again.
