If you're still reprocessing it, you may as well move the boat a little more to the left and cut the picture near the pines (so the boat gets at 1/3 and the red of the boat + the red rooftops establish an "ascending" line).

Or... Simpler, maybe you can shout the skipper to move the damn boat to the left...

    :)

    Kidding. Nice shot.

When did Agent Smith learn Ballet?

The girl looks like the chopper pilot, being replaced by "the agents".

    Definately not dancing.

    Scary.

    :)

    Very nice shot, Razvan.

Excelent capture of the wings movement. Good contrast also. One observation though: the strong motion blur makes me check my glasses for eventual fingerprints and/or spots... :)

  1. Yes, you are right, Filip, thank you.

I'm not a fan of this kind of effects either, but without texture, the picture would've been nothing more than a curved line of separation between the lighter gray sky and the darker gray hill. I had to do something to avoid that, so I thought of texturing it.

After a few tries I got a result which pleased me, so... I posted it here.

Thanks again for your kind comments.

P.S. Maybe I was also influenced in posting this by the comparison with the original, which was a colored mess of violet & green lens flares, you don't want to see it, worthing a reserved place in "recycle bin"... :))

    I don't like it.

I find it stupid to plunge head down in 20cm of water, so in my oppinion "diving" is only a lame excuse for this picture... Such pictures, with nothing else to show than nudity and organs are world-wide rated as "porn". :|

The line of guys waiting behind the camera would've been of same interest.

I'm sorry, but this is what I felt when I saw it. No originality & bad aesthetics. However, it's a technically correct picture, with nice tones. How should I wote for it??

Personally, I would've preferred another time of day / another conditions. It's too early or too late and nothing really shines. This way, it looks like a commercial targeted at retired cosmetic surgeons. In my oppinion, it's too tranquil for the beast you've captured.

    But hey, if I were a focus-group member, I would've bought it. :)

    So, i guess it's a 7/7.

  2. Generally speaking, yes, the light is (purely) artificial, and because it's opposed to the natural one, this creates a local "studio-like" atmosphere. It can either ruin a picture, or generate excellent results.

The first case is easy to obtain. The second... not quite, because the outside conditions can change in a matter of seconds, leading you to dispair. Not talking about the model, waiting for a successful click in cold water... :))

Igor, I like the drama you added to the picture with extra ligthing. 7/7!

Oh, and one small critique, if I'm allowed: I find her right shoulder too obvious, too "bony" from this angle, compared with the rest of a perfectly smooth body. Maybe you can correct it, if you feel this way too. On the other hand, nobody will look there, I'm sure. :)))

    Perfect shot, congratulations!

I don't know why, this reminds me the beggining of the Pixar's "For the Birds": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJzQiemCIuY

This was the first association that crossed my mind, so I guess you managed to catch a dialogue, an intrigue... I don't want to spoil the picture commenting about it. Excellent compositon, congratulations! :)

I like it this way. You are right, you must let some space for the girl.

Maybe removing the piece of paper from the far right will drop the number of complaints, but don't crop it. Try a local correction, change its color, make it less visible (like the other pieces of plastic lying on the road, closer to the camera, which you don't see at a first sight).
