What Dan wrote is the reset procedure to factory presets (so you can start 'fresh' again).<br>

Page 190 warns - that when the camera was pointed up or down, auto rotation will not take place (even when set to 'Auto Rotate ON').<br>

I had this happened to me once, and upon closer inspection found that one battery was going south.<br>
Test each battery with a voltmeter to ensure that they are all at the same level of voltage (i.e. all between 1.0V and 1.2V). When I had the problem, one battery registered 0.8V while the rest were at 1.3V. I always use 4 pack batteries, rather than replace one to make up for the set.</p>
