1.
This is primarily what stock photos are created for, once you have purchased them, they are yours to do with as you see fit, within reason, of course you can't resell them as stock images & make a profit, but you cab use them for advertising, photo manipulation, company design etc.
In most cases the free stock images have more restrictions on them, ie personal use only, then the purchased images.
Cheers
P.S. Would love to see some of your work :)

 2.
I use the Lowepro Terraclime 100 for days when I want to take camera & one lens only. You can also fit a flash in there depending on what lens you have attached, or a medium lenth lens & a smaller one (like the 50mm)
It has an extra protective wrap to keep everything nicely padded. Mine is the purple colour, it looks great (not like a camera bag)
I also have a nappy bag/satchel kind of thing that looks just like an everyday bag it's faux leather, with studs etc, very 'now' that I have converted to a handbag come camera bag.
I can fit all my daily essentials in the front section & in the rear waterproof section, my 40D with battery pack attached, 2 mid length lenses, hoods, a flash, & small reflectors.
Plus there is plenty of easy access zipped pockets for my phone, spare Cf cards & batteries!
I love it, in fact I probably use it more than my Lowepro slingshot!
