1.
Hello, I have photo-shoot this Thursday with a very important attorney. I usually do weddings so I don't have much experience with corporate portraits.
I would really appreciate any tip or advice (lighting, posing, set up, lenses, etc)
*We are going to use a dark grey background.
Thanks!

 2.
Thanks for the responses! my goal is to be able to take pictures where the people is well illuminated and at the same time capture the clouds and the blue sky.
I forgot to mention that I use an external flash on the camera that I usually move in different positions to try to get the best shot.

 3.
Hi!
I've been taking outdoor portraits but have the problem of either the sky looks great but the subject is too dark or the faces are clear but the sky is just white.
I used the sony a99 with tamron 28-75mm lenses f2.8.
any suggestion?

00cxYM-552580184.thumb.jpg.e6727c39f148a3b87b3819651d3dda3b.jpg

 4.
Hello! Thanks for looking. I want an honest opinion on what message comes across or how people perceive my web page. I created it myself and I know I am getting some traffic, but I don´t get clients from it. So I'm trying to figure out what is wrong or missing. Please let me know if it looks like I charge too much / too little, the pictures need to be more impressive, or I need more pictures... is the page too confusing, or any feedback you have would be really appreciated. The web page is www.ricardobarandiaran.com Thanks!!

 5.
Hello everyone!
6.
Hello I have a small photography business for the Hispanic market I just putted an add on the newspaper and a lot of people have been calling. what I noticed is that lot of customers want also videos of the event and I was thinking on buying a professional camcorder and find somebody to do it (I know how to edit the videos). but i made some research on the other business on the newspaper who offer video and photography and I got surprise when they told me that they do all by theirselve in small parties, for example in a baptism they leave the camcorder in the tripod and just go around taking pictures. of course they don't charge to much.
I think is a good idea to do this in small events (since all my competitors do it and if I want to compite with the price I am going to have to do it too). now my question is: is it a good idea to get a good dslr camera with hd video recording like the Canon eos 550D or the Nikon D5000. so that I will be able to do both things with the same equipment and go around with the camera instead of just leave it in the tripod or I just buy a professional camcorder and which one? I need a cheap one but one that is good and can record an event for more than 5 hours and don't have to buy a lot of discs.
What do you recommend me, please I need tips, I know is not proper to do both things at the same time but in this market everybody does it and if I want to compete I have to do it too, of course for the big events I am going to have somebody else with a camcorder to film the event while i take the pictures.

since I am going to buy a professional camcorder anyways for the big events which one do you recommend me, I don't know much about that.

English is my second language so sorry if it is not write property.

 7.
Hello.
I am building my own studio at my house. My studio's space is about 15 width., 15 lenght, and 8.5 height. I know the space is not that high but I think I can work it out. My question is about the background and the lights. For the background, does anyone has another suggestions besides the seamless paper? I want something cheaper and durable. For the lights, what type of bulb can one of you recommend me? I have a yellow bulb of 1000 watts, but I do not think it works for the studio, so what kind of characteristics do I need for the right bulb?
Thank you

 8.
Hello! thank you for the response.
the problem is that I already visit every store who sell cameras in my town, and the only thing I could found was the new sony external flashes which cost like $300 and $500 in the big stores, any of the small stores that sales used cameras have anything for Sony.
I am not really the type of person who buy from internet one of the reasons is because I don't know to much about the subject and I am affraid to buy something that is not the correct thing for my camera, that is why I having to much problems finding something.
can you explain to me a little bit more about the adapter?
Thank you

 9.
I am fairly new about all this slr cameras, I bought a sony alpha 200 like 8 months ago but I now realize that it is really hard to find a cheap external flash and an extra lense for it. So, I was thinking to sell it, and maybe buy a nikon or a cannon which it will give me more options about the accesories.
I liked the Nikon D60 because it has live view (unfortunately sony camera does not have it) and because it is small and very light. Also, I can find the proper flash for a good price.
I found a new nikon D60 in a local store for $680 and the store also had a used one in good conditions for around $525.
Well now I am not sure if I should keep my Sony Alpha or change it to the Nikon or buy another camera? What do you recomend?
Is there another camera that you could recomend that its better than the ones that I mentioned before? The use of the camera that I would like to get is for portraits, landscapes, events that some of them take place in dark places, and in action movements.
Thank you in advance for all your advices.
