try using a flash diffuser to soften the shadow in the background and the glare on the tomato...

This is my first uploaded photo. This was also my first sunset

photograph taken years ago. The photo was taken with a film camera,

and the old print was scanned into a jpg file, so there are some

visible stains or paper marks.
