  1. Hi Jane, I have these lights as well, you will love them great lights. What he is saying is

that you need a way to trigger the lights and becaus ethe 10D does not have a PC Sync,

the safe sync is a hot shoe to pc sync adapter with internal buffering to prevent it from

overloading your camera at the hotshoe. Yes you need it. I have it and it has saved my

camera once. Most cameras are buffered at the PC Sync terminal, not the hotshoe. The

Pocket Wizard is a wireless system that uses the hotshoe. In a small system, I have not

had the need for a wireless sync system, albeit they are nice, but I still have not had a

    NEED for one.

  2. I have the Tokina, returned the Nikon. From someone who has used both here goes.

Image quality almost exactly the same. Build quality, goes slightly to the Tokina. Focus

speed goes slightly to the Nikon. (lack of) distortion a toss up. While the Nikon has less

distortion at 12mm than the Tokina, the distortion of the Tokina is what I EXPECT to see,

so it's almost welcomed in my opinion. The lack of the distortion in the Nikon gave made

me always check and see if I was at 12mm....Oh the last thing that REALLY annoyed me.

the Nikon zooms in the opposite direction than any other zoom I have ever used, which

makes it couter intuitive to use. The Tokina is a dream to use and at 1/2 the price, was a

    no brainer.<div>00AoJR-21419584.jpg.8803b21e660d7b0c455d84255e7660b0.jpg</div>

  3. The RZ 67 II can use both backs, but the RZ 67 cannot use the newer backs. So if a digital

back is made specifically for the RZ67 II it may not work with the RZ67. There is a fine

fucus knob on the RZ 67II that the RZ67 does not have. I just bought a used RZ67 Pro II

and I am very happy with my decision. Look at KEH.com, the RZ67 II prices are pretty

    reasonable.

  4. I have just landed a big job shooting a band for their CD cover. This is a major artist for a

major label, the question is will 35mm be adequate, I have an excellent system with

excellent lenses, or will they want medium format? Then will they prefer positives or

negatives? I shoot both eqaully well, maybe I would shoot print for the extra lattitude to

be safe, or like I normally do, mix it up....Anyone ever do this that might wanna shed some

light on it for me? Thanks.
