Haven't been on here for awhile, but drop in every now and then. I am still encouraged by the shots everybody takes. Matt - I see you are in my city for a bit. Enjoy. Perth WA has a lot good little spots to exercise the camera. So has the state for that matter. I hope you enjoy time with the family. And I'm looking forward to seeing what you might happen to capture.

I'm sitting here on a day in the South West part of Australia while it's 37 degrees (98.5 F or something I think) and looking at all the photos of snow! Hmmm . . . . Sometimes even a picture can't help you imagine the cold - good as they all are. Matt I do like the glow stick in the pool!
Just one to contribute this week. Grabbed it from the front garden one morning after we'd had the sprinkler system on.

One to add this week - our church recently had a combined service (lots of worshipping communities under our congregational umbrella came together) for the start of Advent. The children got to make some decorations to go on the tree. I got to play too - was nice to mix work and play!

Howard, Bob, Matt, Haig, and Anirban have all caught my eye this week. John - I do like the leaves too - the distinctness of them in amongst the similar colour has worked well.
A couple of "freak" shots this week. The first one I don't know how I managed to get any of it in focus with the fast move of the three year old. She just kept coming in and I got it.

You guys have got some good stuff - I've been watching from the sidelines a bit over the last few weeks - and have continued to enjoy what you all bring. Haven't done much shooting in the last little while - need to do some more again. But there is one I'll add to this weeks thread. Couldn't resist this one from our front door.

Nice to see everyone's work - keep it up. Helps the rest of us to learn as we play with our toys. Haven't done too much with the camera of late, but we did hit a warm day - the kids made the most of it. We are ready for summer to arrive in the southern half of the globe. (Liked the snow on the Autumn leaves too by the way).
Also grabbed an opportunity to shoot away at a potentially striking sunset.

Patrick - I liked yesterday - made me laugh so much - and such a common expression in our house!
Anirban - I like the perspective you capture of your part of the world - tells a story.
Jemel - nice series.
I like seeing what you each contribute.
I have one, I don't think I still quite what I wanted, but it was bathroom heater lamps for lighting, with a cream coloured walls and tiles, so lighting was a challenge for this poor little brain. Our bathroom scales just shattered without any warning, and creaked and cracked away for ages. My husband wanted some pics. So I tried . . .

Nice work all. Lots of colour, and variety in subject matter. Travis I like your eye. Matt, Howard, Jemel and John, nice shots. I like that test dahlia too Michael. Justin - you have one amazing companion with Colvin! Ours is too old and arthritic to get in the car without some help.
Took the kids and the camera for a bush walk across the road (love living where I am). A break in the cool wet weather, made for a good Sunday excursion.

DOH!! Brain has more than gone on holidays - we have a much needed two weeks off. Sorry Howard - I meant Dave - it must the "H" in the name - first or last. I still like what you post when you do Howard.
