Welcome to the digital world Tom

This guy is a gigantic FAIL.

You should check the security settings.
My web hosting service company changed the security setting without informing me and I didnt receive email from my contact form for a while as well. I was also unaware of this for sometime.

Hey Kennedy, I would say its all about location location location.
I shot a snowy engagement recently and here is how it tuned out.
http://momentsinmemories.blogspot.com/2010/02/ewelina-mike-engaged.html
It was an overcast day so I didn't need to use that much fill.

I really like the colours in the series, also you captured the brides energy very well. I think what needs work is your composition. You should move away from such central composition. The shots of the wedding party would have been much better if the were walking into the frame, rather than dead center. Detail shots were great. Also shot #7 seems a tad too scandalous for a public blog. Maybe just put it into the grooms private collection. ;p

Looks good, thanks David.

Hey guys, I will post the original image straight out of camera.
William, you will notice that the haloing is gone.
David, you will notice that the highlight aren't as blown out as you assumed, rather the image is underexposed on the brides face.
Those issues stated above were results of my post processing, however I felt them necessary to bring full focus on to the brides facial expression. Thanks for your input guys, I will continue to work hard to improve my weak points.

Cheers

Hey Will, the photo was taken by a window. It had been a cloudy day and the window was voered with a white cloth.
I suppose I did keep the DoF a little to small, standing further back and then cropping in post was probably the thing to do.
The shot was taken at
50mm
f1.8, 1/50th, ISO 400

Theresa may I ask what you did, it seems like you brought texture to the skin.

Bob, do you find that that kind of "marketing" works. To me it seems unethical but I know others in my area are doing it. They also offer one price, and say that if they don't book on the spot the price will increase by 25%.
I have lost clients to these scare tactics before.

Wow, ok you have a case man.
Those past clients that you called, they were all happy with her work?

Hello Richard, sorry to hear about all this. Have you persued the refrence contact to see if it was legit? If this person said the photographer in question shot their wedding when in fact they have not, there would also have to be consequences for that.

Also, you seem to bring up she told you she shot with canon, but came with a sigma. I think you should drop that argument all together, there could be any number of legitimate reasons for different bodies. I wish you luck. I'm not sure if you own the copyright to those photos but if possible could you post what you think are the best 30 in a gallery somewhere?

Since this issue of networking had been brought up a couple of threads down. Are there any wedding photogs from the Greater Toronto Area who are at about the same level as I am, that would like to exchange clients that they have to turn away. Preferrably you would be in about the same skill level and price range as I am.

I have booked 13 weddings for next year and have turned away a whopping 8 because I was already booked for a date that was asked.

Hopefully this would relationship would also extend to me covering you, incase you become ill and vice versa.
If this approach fail i will solicit studios via voice mail.

Cheers
