  1. thanks everybody for stopping and leaving the comment. rachel: when creating this work I did a little 3D model to study and find out how the shadow of the boy should be properly reflected. I was concerned not only about the size and positon of the shadow, but also about its intensity and blurring of its edges when transiting from the bright light to the darker part. The shadow obtains different features when passing (behind) the angle between the ground and the wall - it behaves differently when it is reflected onto the skew ground or onto the orthographic wall. Its shape depends also on the position of the object and the source of light, etc. the lenght of the shadow can also be visible from a simple top view sketch (where the positions of the source of light, the object and the wall are captured). Thus, when I finished the observation I had to make a little compromise, because, if I depicted the shadow precisely, It would disorganize the overall picture compositionally as well as aesthetically. It would almost go behind the edge of the picture (or touching the edge respectively) so the entire composition would "fall" towards one side. Realizing the fact that such "compromise" wouldn't have an impact on the symbolic part of the picture and it only represents a secondary aspect of the whole artwork I made a little modification of its character (not only its shape but also its intensity). Nevertheless, I have tried to keep it as realistic as possible while not affecting its composition and aesthetic expression.
