  1. Decided to go way back into the archives for this weeks post; particularly as I've been "re-working" some old shots etc. These two go back to October 2016. Both taken with my D800 & 24-70 f/2.8 lens. Both at 1/160s @ ISO 100 and lit with some off camera flash etc.. The 1st is at f/3.5 and the second at f/4.

  2. Just messing around with the ProStandard profiles in Capture One 21. I don't think the colours are as true to life as they claim, but they are still quite pleasing nonetheless. Nikon Z7 & 24-70 f/2.8. All shot at 1/125s, f/2.8 and ISO 320 (3rd Image at 640)

  3. Z7 & 24-70 f/2.8. ISO 320 1/80s f/4.5. Guess I'll be opening a few of these over the next couple of days.

Not sure what I'll be raising a glass to, but I don't think it will be to 2020 being a great year...

  4. When your model not only brings a real sword along, but also knows how to use it... you don't have much problem with people interrupting the shoot!

(Z7 & 24-70 f/2.8 S lens. Lit with an Elinchrom ELB 400 in HS mode, hence shutter speed of 1/8000 and aperture of f/2,8 @ ISO 100 etc.)20249-0968-0153.thumb.jpg.87629da4bdeef4dbac54f74f77eb81a8.jpg

  5. Image from my one and only shoot with my new Z7 and 24-70 f/2.8 S lens before restrictions came in. There will be more (photo sessions that is)... when normality returns.20068-0157-0068.thumb.jpg.e68300b0a8c55195456ee626bd535817.jpg

  6. Hi Tim, unlike Matt Laur, I didn't mean to start the thread with any theme. With Nikon Wednesday, two weekly image threads on the Nature Forum, Facebook, etc., it is hard for me to keep track of which images I have posted where. Therefore usually I try to use images I have captured within the last week so that at least they couldn't have been posted to previous Nikon Wednesdays. And I was at the UC Santa Cruz Arboretum on this past Sunday to photograph hummingbirds.

I was in Antarctica a month ago and of course took a lot of pictures. There is always some risk that I have posted that image earlier.

Speaking of that, Bill Boyd's nice whistling duck image was posted to Nature Unlimited last week, but of course there is no rule against using the same image more than once on photo.net. I just try to avoid that myself.

Hi Shun. Sorry, I just happened to make the remark in an "off the cuff/flippant" sort of way. Even when we have a theme, we don't always stick to it. In fact I'm one of the most guilty when it comes to that etc. It's more important that we share our work; again something I'm not all that great at...
