Whilst it is nice enough, its yet another photo that lookes more like a painting, some colour/texture layers on different blend modes, and voila, people go crazy. Without that effect would it be as interesting to people? id love to see an 'unedited photo of the week forum'. I like the gaze and the background, im not a fan of the strong shadow under the baby's chin, on the arm on the right hand side, or of the telltale heavy burning colour changes of the material at the bottom, actually thinking about it, i only like the faces and the background. good choice for discussion though.

heheh very nice, id love to shoot some bouncers properly, lots of character, but i wouldnt feel that safe working with my camera that late at night in the city! This is an excellent shot, great work!

a lovely photo, quite quite mad but in the best way! love the line of pink in the tartan material which brings in the top, but also has the plant tones.. this looks like great fun!
best wishes

its a nice pose and a beautiful girl, but i just dont like the lack of texture in the skin, which also has the effect of flattening the light. Using this technique can be be very nice, but it makes the shots look the same. Try the same shot but with keeping in the texture, which takes much longer to process, but is the standard for fashion work.

really good, love the shapes!

oh yes! great PP work to get the saturation and skin just right!

gorgeous shot and a lovely idea.. the only 2 things id say would be about the petals on her thigh which distract me a little because the shape of one suggests clothing there, id prefer the uninterrupted line of the body. The other thing is the highlights on the face, just a little too white for my liking, bring them down 10pts in levels and put a little flesh colour on them in a colour layer maybe. I dont like criticising such a nice photo, but for me its what helps make it even better :) love the reds and dreamy feel.

ah well sue, if you upgraded to a serious camera like my D700 then you would get even more of a reaction :P dont take the bait, im just kidding!

oh yes!! yes yes yes!! movement, energy, interest, reaction, story, down to the shadowy figure behind! Nice stuff Sue!

You should do an exhibition of your reflection shots when you have enough, they are unfailingly gripping! I love the grim pavement, it clashes beautifully with the shop floor, and the sign in the top corner fills out the story! Great stuff. Happy New Year Sue!

i love it, what a wonderful, dreamy dog! the higher contrast in the top section really makes it seem like two different worlds, the lower one looks windswept and cold. Great stuff Sue.

I like this! great shot, and its good that you 'went there' with the blown out highlights, people really shy away from them, but it works here. Good stuff!

Sue, you are just so good at these shots! You have such an eye for these, and loads of top quality urban reflection images, great work!

Great composition - from the trail of liquid on the right, the old ones on the left and the shapes of the building behind! good stuff!

gorgeous colouring, wonderful! The only quibble is that the ear is quite red, almost the same colour as the lips, a low opacity bit of painting on hue perhaps? Its a tiny thing, i think the shot is fantastic.

Thanks for your comment Dan, and it means a lot coming from a talented photographer, as this lovely shot demonstrates! I love the softness against the sharpness!
