I like this a lot.

Striking. Heh heh, ok someone already said that. Did you use a lightning detector, or hold the shutter open? This looks like several strikes over some number of seconds, right?

I love the way the sky looks like waves at the shore perhaps over a rocky beach. I just shot my first roll of Konica 750, but I'm afraid the sky wasn't cooperative for the effect I wanted last weekend.
Good job!

Reminds me of being there! Can't wait to go back. A lot of our heli. pictures from our first Kauai trip were hazy, using a point and shoot. Did you have a UV filter? Fixing the levels in Photoshop restored most of the colors to those we remembered.

Should I be aiming more in front of the subject when practicing my
panning techniques? I've tended to keep the subject in the
viewfinder, which looks good at the time the action happens, but then
wondered if I should have kept him/her off to the side, so that more
of the trail lies ahead: But the trail isn't clearly defined in a
panning shot like this.
Advice? Thanx!

I would like to see a higher resolution scan just to study this most excellent photogaph more. I have the Epic, so I know it can do it - come on -- give us a high resolution scan!

Just interested in knowing what others think about this -- I feel I'm
getting better at tweaking the focus after focusing in the visible,
but it's still hit-and-miss. What's the trick? This lens doesn't
have an IR mark, but our others do -- but even so it doesn't seem to
help all the time!
Is 750nm close enough to visible that I shouldn't bother reducing the
focus distance a little? It's Konica 750IR with the #25 on Canon
equipment.
