The ef-s 17-55 2.8 does not have the red ring around it but optically it should. It performs just as good on a 50d as a 24-

70 L does on a 5d and costs almost as much as well.

Does weatherproof mean waterproof? How does a 1d model compare to the 40d 50d 5d mkII and, if anyone knows yet, the new 7d?

Maybe it is a dumb question but...Can a ef-s lens be used on a full frame eos body with an extention tube between

them? And if so what would be the advantages and disadvantages?
