I purchased mine from Allens Camera / Levittown PA - price was the same as B&H Photo, lightening fasrt shipping and great service. I now purchase all of my photo products from them. 1-888-547-2841. Also when I needed an extra Canon 5D Mark II battery and no one had them including B&H and Adorama - Allens did and that did not jack up the price due to supply & demand.

Swede. You are so right. I have been buying from Allens Camera, since i found out they have cameras/lenses/batterys/etc, that are OOS in NYC. Customer service is great. Prices are not jacked up. I feel like a kid in a candy store when I go there. They have 'toys' that I never knew existed. Nick

 2.
Ed, Dan. Philip. Thank you all for your responses. I have decided to keep my zoom, (on my Bogen tripod) and order the 85mm from B&H, when it becomes available, to go along with it. I guess zooms and primes do co-exist. thanks again. nick.

 3.
Peter, et all. yes, my camera is on a tripod 99% of the time, since I do portraits, most of the time. I do not have to rush to change lenses. If/when wedding business would take up more of my time, then I should purchase a good zoom. (I know, when you spend $2500 on a camera, the lens should be of a better quality/cost). What I will probably do is purchase a good/fast 85mm now, and keep the zoom. thank you all for your responses. nick

 4.
Hi All. I recently upgraded from my canon D20 to the D5MII, and I love it. I currently have the canon 50, f1.8; canon 135, f2.8; canon 200, f2.8; and the canon 24-85, f3.5-4.5 lenses for it. I primarily shoot portraits and weddings. Would trading in my 24-85 on a fixed canon 85, f1.8; and/or 24 f1.8 result in 'better quality' pictures? I am seeing 'better quality' pictures with the 5DMII. Or, would there be no difference, and just stay where I am? Some enlargements go up to 16x20, no larger. All constructive criticism is appreciated. No, I don't want to buy the two (2) in additon to the zoom. thank you. Nick.

 5.
I have dealt with KEH over the last few years and found them to be accurate in their evaluations (buying and selling). They had a rep in Philly last Sunday, and was very accurate in his appraisal of purchasing equipment. Note: they did not sell any equipment while there.

 6.
Dan M, et all.
thank you for your responses. I have downloaded fir 1.07, and ordered the upgrade to CS4 from CS2. I should have it within a week. Having had the 5DM2 for a week, it blows the doors off my 20D. thanks again.

 7.
thank you all for your quick responses. my dealer wanted to sell me the latest lenses/new batteries to fit the 5Dm2 (they are on back order)/8G cards to replace my 4g ones/etc. As someone mentioned "digital is free", since we no longer have to purchase film/etc. lol. will download dpp upgrade, and purchase cs4 updrade. thanks again.

 8.
I searched the forum and could not find the answer to my problem. I have been shooting RAW w/ my Canon 20D, with no problems. I can see the picture in my camera, and in Canon DPP, and Photoshop CS-2. I am using Window XP. I just purchased a 5D mark II last week. Shot RAW with it, and can see them in the viewfinder when viewing. However, I cannot see them in DPP or CS-2. I know they are there. I can take constructive criticism, so if anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong, I would appreciate it. I am assuming the the 20D has older firmware/etc, and is compatible w/ what I have. If I need to upgrade to CS4, or switch to Vista, I will. thank you.
